Young man dies and three hospitalised following tragic road crash
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision this morning.
Just after 12:45am, gardai were called to the scene of a single car collision at Greenane, Tipperary Town.
A man in his 20s, the driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. His body has since been removed to the mortuary at University Hospital Limerick.
Two females and a male, passengers in the vehicle and all aged in their 20s, were taken to University Hospital Limerick to be treated for their injuries, which are understood to be non-life threatening.
The road is closed this morning to allow for a technical examination to take place by Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to come forward. Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
