From Monday November 26th scheduled road works at the following locations throughout the County will result in disruption to traffic
Motorists are asked to heed all signs and to follow the detours
N55 between Granard and Edgeworthstown at Ardaguillon/Tonywarden/Cartron
This Closure is to facilitate Pavement Strengthening works
The Road will remain open with a single lane shuttle, traffic management system in place from the Monday 26th November to Friday 30st November from 8am to 5.30pm
A Road Closure will be required from Monday the 3rd December to Wednesday the 12th December
Traffic will be diverted as follows:
From Granard traffic will be diverted via the R194 & the R396 towards Abbeylara, followed by the R395 towards Edgeworthstown.
From Edgeworthstown traffic will be diverted via the R395 towards Coole, then onto the R396 followed by the R194 towards Granard.
Local Access will be maintained
R194 from Longford to Granard at Kiernan’s Cross and Esker South
This Closure is to facilitate Pavement Improvement works
The Road will be closed from Monday the 26th November to Saturday 1st December for 24hrs
Traffic will be diverted via the R198 to Drumlish, and the L 1010/L1041 to the R194 at Dohertys Cross
Local Access will be maintained
