Driving conditions could be dangerous tomorrow morning according to the Met Éireann forecast for tonight and tomorrow morning.

According to the forecaster, it will be mainly dry tonight with clear spells and near calm conditions, allowing patches of mist and fog to form.

It will also be very cold with lowest temperatures of +1 to -4 degrees with widespread frost. It will coldest inland where the frost will be severe, with a risk of ice on untreated surfaces.

Monday will be mainly dry with bright or sunny spells for the first half of the day. Cold with highest temperatures of 4 to 6 degrees in light southerly breezes. Cloud will increase towards evening bringing rain, with falls of sleet and snow likely overnight.

A Status Yellow warning is in place for snow and ice across much of the country for Monday night into Tuesday morning.
