Uisce Éireann crews are continuing to restore normal water supply to homes and businesses across Longford following power outages due to Storm Darragh.
Although supply has returned to most areas, customers in Ballymackeegan may still be experiencing low water pressure due to low water levels in local reservoirs.
As a result, alternative water supplies are available in Farnagh.

Similarly, customers between Glannagh and Edgeworthstown may also be experiencing low water pressure due to low water levels in local reservoirs.
As a result, alternative water supplies are available at both Lissard Cross and Coolarty.
Customers are reminded to use their own containers when taking water from tankers and to boil water before consumption as a precautionary measure.
Nighttime restrictions will also be in place in Glannagh, Edgeworthstown and the surrounding areas from 10pm tonight until 6am on Wednesday December 11.
In addition, Uisce Éireann also wishes to advise customers in Longford Town west of Hanlon’s filling station of nighttime restrictions in order to conserve water and maintain a daytime supply.
This as a result of low water levels in local reservoirs.

Overnight restrictions will be in place from 10pm tonight until 7am on Wednesday, December 11. Supply will be maintained to St Joseph’s Care Centre for the duration of the restrictions.
Homes and businesses are being asked to be mindful of their water usage to allow supply to catch up with demand and enable water levels to replenish.
Uisce Éireann understands the inconvenience that restrictions cause and want to thank the community for their patience.
