Two men have been arrested in North Longford after gardaí discovered three high-powered stolen motorcycles and seized them this afternoon.
The men were arrested on Friday afternoon after a vehicle they were travelling in was stopped by officers who swooped while the motorcycles were being moved to a different location.
It is understood the motorcycles had been kept in a shed in recent days and the pair of suspects are being quizzed by gardaí this evening in relation to the alleged offence.

The men are being detained under Criminal Justice (Theft and Fraud Offences) Act 2001 and they can be held for up to 24-hours, excluding breaks, when they must be released or charged.
There were no registration plates on the three motorbikes and it is understood specialist officers will carry out enquiries to establish where they were stolen from.
Chassis numbers and serial numbers will be checked during that process before the motorcycles are returned to their owners.
