Gardaí are investigating a burglary on a restaurant in Longford town where the raiders made off with an undisclosed sum of cash.
The break-in was one of several burglaries in county Longford late last week.
A Garda spokesman said,"Gardaí are investigating a burglary that occurred at a property on the 6th December 2024 at approximate 4am in Ballymahon St, Longford Town.
"A sum of cash was taken. No arrests have been made," the spokesman added.
Gardaí are also investigating a break-in at a residence in the Ardnacassa area of the county town last Thursday.
Officers believe the raiders gained entry at around 4pm and they took nothing and fled the scene a short time later.
No arrests have been made.

Meanwhile, it is understood Gardaí are also investigating another house burglary in the Drinan area of Ballymahon, which occurred on Thursday afternoon between 7pm and 7.45pm.
