Area Engineer David Coppinger said it the programme was completed following a comprehensive assessment of the road conditions in Longford
Longford Municipal District approved their Multi-Annual (3-year) Restoration Improvement Programme last week.
Councillors heard the amount the area will receive for 2025 will be confirmed early next year.
Area Engineer David Coppinger said he had communicated details of the proposed draft programme to councillors and he thanked them for their input and feedback.

"This funding stream is dedicated for enhancing our road network especially targeting roads that require more than routine maintenance," he added.
Mr Coppinger said it the programme was completed following a comprehensive assessment of the road conditions in Longford Municipal District and they identified specific sections for inclusion.
Mr Coppinger stated he has tailored the programme to accommodate their suggestions where the funding has allowed.

Fianna Fáil Cllr Martin Monaghan proposed the adoption of the plan and he thanked Mr Coppinger for his interaction.
"There is a good spread of roads across the MD area that has been done," he added.
His party colleague Cllr Uruemu Adejinmi and Cllr Peggy Nolan seconded the motion and they praised Mr Coppinger's availability to elected members.
