Students from Cnoc Mhuire Granard will be in attendance with five top class upcycled Junk Kouture fashion designs and this will demonstrate what can be done with old clothes or indeed any article that can be recycled.
Olive pointed out, “This will prove very interesting and maybe we might get some ideas of how to use old clothes or items instead of just discarding old pieces that we think are no good.”
The five Junk Kouture designs that will feature are; "Life of Pine" made from pine cones, broken hanging baskets and wool. "Too Hot to Handle" made from sun hats and tulle. "Endgame” is made from old board games and broken toys. "Soother or Later" made from baby dodies and a baby cot mobile. "Fit to be tied" Made from Ties.
As well as Junk Kouture, two ICA ladies are modelling some upcycled items and everyone is looking forward to seeing what they have come up with.

Olive outlined, “We also have an ICA ladies feature and in this we have ICA ladies modelling in the age groups from the 20's to the 90's and this shows that ICA is welcoming to women of all ages, from 18 upwards and they will all be strutting their stuff on the catwalk.”
And just when you think it's all over, the one and only Ray Montanna will entertain guests after the show. So make sure to bring your dancing shoes to dance the night away, a lovely ending to what is hoped will be a great evening's entertainment.
Olive concluded, “So to all you ladies and gents out there, the place to be on Friday night is The Longford Arms Hotel Longford from 6pm until late. Again we want to thank the business in Longford and beyond for coming on board with us to put on this great show, the models who will take to the catwalk, the committee behind the scenes who have worked tirelessly to put this all together and to all who have purchased tickets we hope you all have a great night and we look forward to seeing you all on Friday night.
“We are updating our Facebook page daily with some of our models and so check out Longford Federation ICA and you can see some of the lovely ladies and gents we have modelling for us.”
