The death occurred, peacefully in Mullingar Regional Hospital, on Thursday, December 1, 2022 of John Forde, Kilmahon, Drumlish, Co Longford.
Predeceased by his parents Michael and Ellen, sisters Ellen Boyle, Lilly and brothers Michael and Brendan. Deeply regretted by his sister Rosie, brother Willie, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.
John will repose in Our Ladys Manor, Edgeworthstown this Friday evening, December 2 from 5pm concluding with prayers at 6pm. Remains arriving at St Mary's Church, Drumlish on Saturday, December 3 for 11am funeral mass followed by burial in Kilmahon Cemetery. Donations in lieu of flowers to Cancer Care Longford.

Helen O'Keeffe (née Reilly), Rathfarnham, Dublin / Longford


The death occurred, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, December 1, 2022 of Helen O'Keeffe (nee Reilly), Rathfarnham, Dublin and late of Drumhaldry, Co. Longford.
Devoted mother to Ann, Claire, Sinead. Reunited with her darling son Brendan who died earlier this year. Sadly missed by her sons-in-law Paul, Denis, Laurence. Her twelve cherished grandchildren Fionn, Teresa, Aoife, Liam, Norah, Sean, Lorcan, Conor, Thomas, Eoghan, Ruairi, Meadhbh. She will be sadly missed by her sisters-in-law, her fabulous nieces and nephews, her many friends, her great neighbours from Ballyroan and Springvale, her excellent carers from Homeinstead, all other carers and the excellent staff in Our Lady’s Hospice Harold’s Cross.

The death occurred, peacefully, in Sunset Lodge, Saint Joseph's Hospital, Longford, on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 of Michael (Mickey) Kelly, The Lodge Ballytoohey, Tarmonbarry, Roscommon / Tarmonbarry, Longford. Predeceased by his sisters Lily and Josie. Mickey will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his wife Mary, daughters Caroline, Eilish, Lorna and Yvonne, son in law Anthony, brothers John (Mullingar), Benny (Dublin), grandchildren Aaron, James and Lauren, nephews, nieces, sisters in law, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends. The death occurred, peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 of Tom Hayden, Ardnacassa, Dublin Road, Longford town. Predeceased by his parents Bridget and Frank, sister Margaret, brother John, son-in-law Ger and most recently, by his beloved wife Annie. Tom will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, daughters Jackie, Fiona, Bronagh and Deirdre, sisters Jenny, Benny, Annie, Dettie and Kathleen, brothers Aidan, Michael, Jim and Oliver, sons-in-law Andrew, Stephen and Ger, grandchildren Gareth, Emma (and her husband Roy), Kerri, Leah, Ciara, Oli, Christopher, Henry, Tom, Ben, James and Conor, great-grandchild Killian, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The death occurred, in the loving care of The Little Flower Nursing Home, Labane, on Monday, November 28, 2022 of John (Jacko) Linnane, Cahardaly, Ardrahan, Co. Galway and formerly of Aughnacliffe, Co Longford, retired Sergeant of An Garda Síochána.
Predeceased by his loving wife Breda and brother Peter. John will be sadly missed by his children Therese, Sheila, Antoinette, Gearroid (Gerard) and Sinead, brothers Paddy, Joe, Frank and Ger, sister Mamie, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. John will be fondly remembered by his cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. May His Kind and Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

The death occurred,  peacefully in the devoted care of the wonderful staff at University Hospital, Galway surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 of Mary Tully (née Kelly), Hawthorn Drive, Roscommon Town and formerly of ‘Avondale’, Ballyleague, Lanesboro, Co Roscommon.
Predeceased by her beloved parents Nancy and Jack Kelly and her father-in-law William Tully. She will be very sadly missed by her heartbroken family; her husband Michael, children Fergal, Siobhán, Niall, Micheál, Aoife and Fiona, daughter-in-law Laura (Mee), son-in-law Damien (Martin), partners Cathy, Nicole, Mark and David, her adored grandchildren Holly, Caoimhe, Tommy and Jake, brothers, Eamon (Ó’Cheallaigh) and Liam (Kelly) and sister Freda (Kilbride), mother-in-law Kathleen Tully, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews and nieces, relatives, neighbours and her large circle of friends. Removal from her home on Friday morning, December 2 at 11.15am arriving to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Derrane (Eircode F42 F592) for Mass of the Resurrection at 12 noon. Mary’s family sincerely appreciate the support shown to them at this difficult time and would like to acknowledge the kindness shown to her by everyone at University Hospital, Galway during her illness.

The death occurred, peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, November 26, 2022 of Edward (Eddie) (Junior) Moran, Gardentown, Ballyleague, Co Roscommon and formerly of Greenock, Scotland.
Predeceased by his beloved son Edward. Sadly missed by his loving wife Patsy, son Christopher, brothers Billy and John, sisters Trisha and Maryellen, grandchildren Edward and Harriett, nephews, nieces, in-laws, relatives and many friends in Ireland and the UK. May He Rest In Peace.

The death occurred, peacefully in the loving care of the staff at Sligo Hospice, on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 of Denis Flanagan, Dromod, Co Leitrim and formerly of Dingle Road, Cabra and Old Bawn, Tallaght, Dublin.
Denis, beloved husband of Daiga, dear father of Samantha, Niall and Michelle, step-father to Renars and grandfather of Sophie, Alex, Shane, Ruby, Leila, Mia, Lexie, Jack and Aoife. Sadly missed by his loving wife, son, daughters, step-son, grandchildren, daughter-in-law Roisin, sons-in-law Jason and Eamonn, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Maureen Butler (née Reilly), Brentford, Middlesex and formerly of Templemichael Terrace, Longford Town, Longford


The death occurred, peacefully at her residence, on Tuesday, November 8 of Maureen Butler (née Reilly), Brentford, Middlesex and formerly of Templemichael Terrace, Longford Town, Longford. Predeceased by her beloved husband Paddy and daughter Mary. Her brothers; Michael, John, Bernard, Anthony and sister Rose.
Maureen will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family, son John, daughter-in-law Sally, her granddaughter Siobhan and her partner George, grandson Donal, her much loved great granddaughters Sophie and Rubi , brother Jimmy , sisters Lilly (Millward) and Mary (O'Connor), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and her many dear friends. May she rest in peace.
Her funeral service will be held on December 6 at St Bridget’s in Isleworth TW7 6DL with cremation afterwards at Mortlake Crematorium, London TW9 4EN.

Rev Michael Doyle, Camden, NJ and late of Rossduff, Aughnacliffe, Longford


The death occurred on Friday November 4, 2022, one day after his 88th birthday, of Rev Michael Doyle, Camden, New Jersey and formerly of Rossduff, Aughnacliffe, County Longford. He is survived by his sister Phyllis O’Reilly and her husband Johnny, his sister-in-law Margaret Doyle, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, John Doyle and Rosetta Creegan Doyle, his brothers Pat Doyle and Fr. J.J. Doyle, sister Anna Mae Doyle (Sr Concepta) and his niece Sinead O’Reilly. May he rest in peace.
A Funeral Mass led by Camden Bishop Dennis Sullivan will be held on Friday, November 11 at 11:30am (4:30pm Irish time) at the Sacred Heart Church, the parish he led for 46 years. A Parish Mass will be held on Saturday, November 12 at 10:30am (3:30pm Irish time). The Masses will be live streamed at www.sacredheartofcamden.com/live-stream. Burial will follow the parish Mass at Harleigh Cemetery in Camden. A Mass of Remembrance will be held on December 8 at 7:30pm in St Colmcille Church, Aughnacliffe. Fr Doyle was an advocate for Peace and Justice all his life.
