The death occurred, peacefully, in the tender care of the nurses and staff of the Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar, on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 of Seán Carrigy, Aughaward, Ballinalee, Longford. Predeceased by his brother, Andy, Seán will be sadly missed and remembered by his loving wife, Maureen; daughters Marie, Catherine (Hennelly) and Helen (Liddington); sons John and James; grandchildren Ava, Sam, Mike and Billy; sisters, Eileen (Boyle) and Kathleen (Corkery); brother Michael; brothers-in-law; sons-in-law Richard and Shane; daughter-in-law Megan; nieces, nephews, cousins and his many wonderful neighbours and friends. Seán's funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 26 in Holy Trinity Church, Ballinalee, at 12pm with burial afterwards in St Emer's Cemetery, Ballinalee. House private for family only, please.

The death occurred, after a long illness bravely borne, in the tender loving care of the staff of the Laurel Lodge Nursing Home, Longford, on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 of Cait Smith (nee Burke), Rathbracken, Granard, Co Longford. Predeceased by her parents, John and Kathleen, sister-in-law Sheila and nephew Sean. Sadly missed by her loving husband Seamus, son Shane, daughter Lorraine, son-in-law Niall, her devoted grandchildren Jamie, Kaitlyn and Luke, sisters Philomena Walsh and Nellie Wallace, brothers John, Tom and Paul, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends. Reposing at her daughter and son-in-laws residence, Thursday 5pm to 8pm and Friday 5pm to 8pm, walk through only. House strictly private at all other times. Removal on Saturday, March 26 arriving at St Mary’s Church, Granard for 12 noon funeral Mass, followed by burial in Granardkille New Cemetery. Family flowers only, please.
