Thomas O'Connor, Lamagh, Newtownforbes, Longford


The death occurred, peacefully surrounded by his family in the loving care of the nurses and staff of The Midlands Regional Hospital, Mullingar., on Monday, March 7, 2022 of Thomas O'Connor, Lamagh, Newtownforbes, Longford. Predeceased by his mother Bridie, father Michael, brother Anthony and by his beloved wife Margaret.
Thomas will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, daughters Annmarie, Jaclyn and Joanne, sons-in-law Andrew Gabbitas, Colm Egan and Andy Harris, sisters Geraldine, Pauline and Patricia, grandchildren Arron, Elliot, Bailey and George, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.
In keeping with Thomas’ express wishes, his funeral will remain private to family only. The family very much appreciates your support and consideration at this time. A private cremation will take place.

The death occurred, peacefully in the loving care of the staff at Cluain Lir, Nursing Home, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath., on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 of James Kelly, Bardenstown, Rathaspic, Rathowen, Westmeath / Longford.
Deeply regretted by his brothers and sister, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends. Rest in Peace. James' funeral cortege will leave his home Thursday, March 10 at 11.30 to arrive for 12 noon Mass in St Mary's Church, Rathowen. Burial afterwards in Rathaspic Cemetery. House private please.

Michael Sweeney, Brocklagh, Drumlish, Co Longford

The death occurred, after a short illness, on Sunday, February 13, 2022 of Michael Sweeney, Ballyedmond, Clonberne, Co Galway, latterly Brocklagh, Drumlish, Co Longford, and Birmingham, England.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Karhleen (née Farrell). Michael will be sadly missed by his sons Michael, Liam, Dermot, Patrick, Brendan, daughter Ann, daughters-in-law Dawn and Joanna, grandchildren Mikie, Tomás, Eoin, Cormac and Eléonore, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, and his many good friends in Ireland, England and beyond. Reposing in Connell's Funeral Home, Church Street, Longford, on Friday, March 11 from 10am to 11.30am, for immediate family only, followed with removal to St. Mary's Church, Drumlish, for Requiem mass at 12 noon, burial afterwards in the New Cemetery. Christina (Chrissie) Halton (née Cullivan), Kilcogy, Cavan

The death occurred, peacefully surrounded by her family at College View, Nursing Home Cavan, on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 of Christina (Chrissie) Halton (née Cullivan), Kilcogy, Cavan. Predeceased by her beloved husband Connie, brothers John Joe and Paddy. Sadly missed by her loving daughters Elaine and Claire, son in law Oliver, Elaine's partner Sean, her adored grandchildren Conor, Aaron, Leigh, Cara and baby Freya, sisters May Sheridan (Cornea), Jeannie Ward (Galway) and brother Gabriel Cullivan (Annaglough), brothers in law, sister in law, nieces, nephew, relatives, neighbours and friends. May she rest in peace.
Reposing at Reilly's Funeral Home, Kilcogy Village (N39W1D6) on Friday evening, March 11 from 6pm with prayers at 7.45 pm. Removal on Saturday morning, March 12 arriving at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Mullahoran, for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

The death occurred, peacefully, in Kingston General Hospital, Kingston upon Tames, on Thursday, February  17, 2022 of Brendan McDonagh, Kingston upon Thames, London and formerly Four Mile House, Tully, Strokestown, Co Roscommon.
Son of the late Pat and Peggy McDonagh (R.I.P). Beloved father to Stephen (Una). Much loved grandfather to Chesney, Bethany, Dayna, and Deacon. Loving brother of Mary Day, Margaret O’Toole (Tom), Mick, Bridie Fitzgerald, Charlie (Evelyn) and Teresa McMunn (Patrick). Predeceased by his brothers Pat and James (R.I.P.).
Brendan will repose at the home of his brother Charlie and sister-in-law Evelyn, on Friday, March 11 from 2pm until 5pm (walk through only), until removal on Saturday morning, March 12 at 11.30am to arrive at St Brigid’s Church, Ballinderry, Four Mile House, for 12 noon Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. The death occurred, suddenly, at her home in Glasgow, on Monday, March 7, 2022 of Ann Mc Loughlin, Aughrim, Mohill, Leitrim. Predeceased by her parents Frank and Margaret. The death occurred, unexpectedly, at the Cork University Hospital, on Saturday, March 5, 2022 of Michael Hourican, Carrigaline Road, Douglas, Cork and late of Main Street, Longford Town, Longford. Beloved husband of Mary (nee Mulqueen) and loving brother of Pat, Ann (Brady), Ursula (White) and the late Desmond. Sadly missed by his loving wife , brother, sisters, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law Willie, Jerry & Phil, sisters-in-law Anne, Eileen & Elizabeth, relatives and friends.

Beloved son of Martin and Bernadette, dear brother of Aiden (Mina), Michelle (Gary), Pauline (Duncan) and Lisa (Eoin), treasured uncle of Nathan, Yvonne and Aibhín. Sadly missed by his heartbroken parents, brother, sisters, nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.

Beloved husband of Doreen and loving father of Philip, Johnny, Damian and Caroline. The death occurred, peacefully, after a short illness bravely fought, in the devoted care of the staff at Ciúin Suite, Mullingar Regional Hospital, on Saturday, March 5, 2022 of Eileen O’Hara (née Carty) Cloontuskert, Lanesboro, Co Roscommon.
Beloved mother of the late Fergal, daughter of the late Patrick and the recently deceased Annie, much loved mother to Finola and Ciara and adoring grandmother to Kelsey. She will be very sadly missed by her family, sisters Mary Quinn (Corlea, Killoe) and Ena Sweeney (Cartron), Strokestown), brother Sean (Cloontuskert), sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, Finola’s partner Martin, nieces, nephews, relatives, many friends and good neighbours. Deeply regretted by his partner Anna Ryan, his children Carmen McDermottroe (Coolaney), Noelle Galvan (Ballisodare), Joseph (Collooney), Trevor (Castletroy, Co. Limerick), Joanne Lydon (Dubai) and their mother Mary Sweeney (Ballisodare). The  death  occurred, suddenly & peacefully after a long illness at her residence in England, on Monday, February 28, 2022 of Maureen (Mary) Brady (nee Mimnagh), Wendover, Aylesbury, Bucks, England and late of St Michael's Road, Longford.
Sister of John and Thomas Mimnagh, Longford and Brighton. Predeceased by her parents John Mimnagh & Kate Mimnagh (nee Barden, Ferefad) and brothers Pat London and Longford and Josie Mimnagh, St Michael's Road, Longford. 
Missed by her son Patrick Brady, London and daughter Kathleen Bliss, Hampshire, England, grandsons Daniel Sandford & Brendan Sandford & Michael Bliss Hampshire & Cambridge, nephews, Darren & Joseph Mimnagh & niece Kathy Mimnagh, London, England, brothers and sisters in law, Abbeylara.
