The death occurred, unexpectedly, at the Cork University Hospital, on Saturday, March 5, 2022 of Michael Hourican, Carrigaline Road, Douglas, Cork and late of Main Street, Longford Town, Longford. Beloved husband of Mary (nee Mulqueen) and loving brother of Pat, Ann (Brady), Ursula (White) and the late Desmond. Sadly missed by his loving wife , brother, sisters, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law Willie, Jerry & Phil, sisters-in-law Anne, Eileen & Elizabeth, relatives and friends.
Requiem Mass on Wednesday, March 9 at 11am at St Columba’s Church, Douglas. Michael’s Requiem Mass will be live streamed on www.churchservices.tv/douglas  . Funeral afterwards to St Oliver’s Cemetery, Model Farm Road. House private. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu to Marymount. Joe Donohoe, Butterfield, Longford Town, Longford


The death occurred, peacefully, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, March 5, 2022 of Joe Donohoe, Butterfield, Longford Town, Longford. Predeceased by his parents James and Kate and by his brother Liam. Joe will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, beloved wife Anne, daughters Catherine Hanley and Joanna, sons Peter and Kevin, grandchildren Andrea, Peter, Gary, James, Gavin, Rory, Sean and Conor, son-in-law Jim, daughters-in-law Noreen and Fiona, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home on Monday, March 7 from 6pm until prayers at 8pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Tuesday, March 8 in St Mel’s Cathedral at 11am, interment afterwards in Ballymacormack Cemetery. Phil Brady, Ballymore, Granard, Longford, N39 E2R2


The death occurred, peacefully at home, on Saturday, March 5, 2022 of Phil Brady, Ballymore, Granard, Longford, N39 E2R2. Predeceased by his wife Kathleen. Deeply regretted by his loving family daughters Anne, Meave and Deirdre, son Philip, adoring grandchildren Megan and Séan, brother Frank (Cavan), sons-in-law Hugh and Aidan, nephews, nieces, relatives and his many friends and neighbours. May Phil Rest In Peace.
Phil will repose at his home (N39E2R2) on Sunday, March 6 from 4pm until 9pm and again on Monday, March 7 from 2pm until 4pm. House private at all other times please. Removal from his home on Monday, March 7 to St Mary’s Church Granard arriving at 7.30pm Funeral Mass on Tuesday, March 8 at 12 noon followed by Christian burial in Granardkill cemetery.

Edward Reilly, Corfree, Loch Gowna, Cavan / Longford
The death occurred, tragically in The Netherlands, of Edward Reilly Corfree, Loch Gowna, Cavan / Longford. Beloved son of Martin and Bernadette, dear brother of Aiden (Mina), Michelle (Gary), Pauline (Duncan) and Lisa (Eoin), Treasured uncle of Nathan, Yvonne and Aibhín. Sadly missed by his heartbroken parents, brother, sisters, nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.

The death occurred, peacefully in the loving care of the nurses and staff of the Shannon Lodge Nursing Home Rooskey, on Saturday, March 5, 2022 of Noel McGowan, Clooncarne, Bornacoola, Leitrim. Beloved husband of the late Christine and brother of the late Michael, dear father of Jody (Longford) and Bernadette Walsh (Ballinalee), sadly missed by his son and daughter, son in law Martin, daughter in law Cherryl, brother Jody, grandchildren Francine, Kristoper, Mary and Aoife, brothers in law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.May Noel Rest in Peace.
Reposing in Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road, Longford, on Monday morning, March 7 from 10am until 11am (walk through only). Funeral cortege will leave the funeral home at 11.15am, travelling via his home in Clooncarne, to arrive at St Michael’s Church, Bornacoola, for Funeral Mass at 12 noon, followed by burial in Cloonmorris Cemetery.

Margaret Cunningham (née McGirl), Kilmakenny, Doogra, CorrIga, Aughavas, Leitrim


The death occurred, Peacefully at Our Lady's Manor Nursing Home Edgeworthstown, after a long illness bravely borne, on Saturday, March 5, 2022 of Margaret Cunningham (née McGirl), Kilmakenny, Doogra, Corriga, Aughavas, Co Leitrim and formerly Corduff, Cloone, Co Leitrim. Predeceased by her loving husband Bernard (Bernie) and her brother James.
Margaret will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her adoring family, son Brian, daughters Mary (Dublin) and Una (London),daughter-in-law Yvonne sons-in-law Bernard Corrigan and Quentyn Taylor, grandchildren Bláithnáid, Rían, Ellie and Enda, sisters-in-law, Margaret and Mary nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. Angela Gannon (née Carroll), Dun Darrach, Longford Town, Longford / Summerhill, Meath / Kiltimagh, Mayo


The death occurred, peacefully in Our Lady's Unit, St. Joseph's Care Centre, with her loving husband Pat and ever caring staff by her side, on Thursday, March 3, 2022 of Angela Gannon (née Carroll), Dun Darrach, Longford Town, Longford / Summerhill, Meath / Kiltimagh, Mayo. Angela is sadly missed by Pat (PJ), her brother Vincent, nieces and nephews, good neighbour Peter and her many friends from Longford and Meath. May She Rest In Peace.
Angela's funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, March 8 at 12 noon in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Dangan, Summerhill followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

The death occurred, peacefully, at her residence, in the presence of her loving family, on Friday, March 4, 2022 of Margaret McCormack (née Clarke), Kilcurry, Ballymahon, Longford and formerly Saint’s Island, Newtowncashel. Predeceased by her son Justin and parents William and Mary Ellen. Sadly missed by her devoted husband Jimmy, sons Dermot and Seamus, daughters Marie (Cassidy, Frenchpark), Paula and Mairead (Tarrant, Millstreet), her grandchildren Justin, Sean, Mark, James, Lucy, Aoife, Ben, Rachel, Sarah, Jack, Matthew, Laura, Éoin, James, Áine, Aaron, Madison, Alex and Amelia, her daughters in law Charlotte and Michelle, sons in law Paraic, Damien and Stephen. Fondly remembered by her relatives, friends, neighbours and dedicated carers Maura, Dawn, Geraldine and Sandra.
Reposing at her residence N39WV61 this Saturday, March 5 from 5pm to 8pm. Leaving the family home at 12.30pm on Sunday, March 6 to arrive at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Carrickedmond (via Tashinny) for Mass at 1pm followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. The death occurred,  peacefully, surrounded by her heartbroken family, in the loving care of the nurses and staff of the Shannon Lodge Nursing Home, Rooskey, on Friday, March 4, 2022 of Nora Shanley (née McGovern), Drumard, Dromod, Leitrim. Predeceased by her husband Nicholas, son-in-law Niall, brother Aidan and sister Mena. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her children Elizabeth, Pat and Brendan, daughter-in-law Lorraine, grandchildren Gary, Aileen, Emma, Ciaran, Rian, Béibheann, Caolán and Faela, sisters Eileen and Mary, brothers John Francis and PJ, nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. The death occurred, suddenly, at home, on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 of Pat McCann, Killinure, Athlone, Co Westmeath/ Glasson, Co Westmeath.
Predeceased by his parents Tom and Kathleen, brothers Michael and Joe and his niece Siobhan. Sadly missed by his loving brothers James, John and Billy, sisters Maureen, Kathleen and Peggy, in-laws, nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends. May He Rest In Peace.
Reposing at Flynn's Funeral Home, The Strand, on Saturday evening, March 5 from 4pm until 6pm. Funeral will take place on Sunday, March 6 after 11am Mass in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Tubberclaire, followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
Pat's family are very mindful of the risk of spreading Covid-19, and those attending the funeral are respectfully requested to observe social distancing, wear a face covering at all times and avoid shaking hands and hugging. The death occurred, peacefully at home, on Saturday, February 26, 2022 of Trevor Tomsett, Bunninassa , Bornacoola, Longford / Leitrim. Trevor will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, his beloved wife Mary, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. May he rest in peace.

Maureen (Mary) Brady (nee Mimnagh), Wendover, Aylesbury, Bucks, England and late of St Michael's Road, Longford and Brighton
The  death  occurred, suddenly & peacefully after a long illness at her residence in England, on Monday, February 28, 2022 of Maureen (Mary) Brady (nee Mimnagh), Wendover, Aylesbury, Bucks, England and late of St Michael's Road, Longford.
Sister of John and Thomas Mimnagh, Longford and Brighton. Predeceased by her parents John Mimnagh & Kate Mimnagh (nee Barden, Ferefad) and brothers Pat London and Longford and Josie Mimnagh, St Michael's Road, Longford. 
Missed by her son Patrick Brady, London and daughter Kathleen Bliss, Hampshire, England, grandsons Daniel Sandford & Brendan Sandford & Michael Bliss Hampshire & Cambridge, nephews, Darren & Joseph Mimnagh & niece Kathy Mimnagh, London, England, brothers and sisters in law, Abbeylara. May her soul rest in peace.
