Bartley McGovern, Cam, Edgeworthstown, Co Longford


The death occurred, peacefully in his 98th year, surrounded by his family and in the loving care of the staff at Our Lady's Unit 1, St Joseph's Care Centre, Longford, on Thursday, February 24, 2022 of Bartley McGovern, Cam, Edgeworthstown, Co Longford and formerly of Derryheen, Butlersbridge, Cavan.
Predeceased by his parents and his brothers Michael, Tommy and John, son-in-law Paddy Kenny and brother-in-law Patrick Kiernan. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Kitty and his daughters Maura Kenny (Bracklin), Ann Quinn (Corner House), Cathy McLynn (Ballymahon) and his son Bart (Kinnegad), his sister Dympna and her husband Paddy Cahill (Shankill, Cavan), daughter-in-law Aideen, sons-in-law John McLynn and Philip Quinn, sister-in-law Evelyn (Ballyjamesduff), his twelve adoring grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Rest in peace.
Bartley will repose in Glennon's Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road, Longford N39 EC81 on Saturday, February 26 from 3pm until 5pm (walk through only) with Prayers at 4.30pm followed by removal to St Mary's Church, Edgeworthstown, arriving at 6pm. Funeral Mass on Sunday at 2pm. Burial afterwards in Aughafin Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Michael C. Flynn, Woodside, New York and formerly of Fearglass, Drumlish, Leitrim


The death occurred, peacefully, in hospital, after a long illness, on Monday, February 21, 2022 of Michael C. Flynn, Woodside, New York and formerly of Fearglass, Drumlish, Leitrim. Predeceased by his parents Francis and Mary. Also his sister Christina Mc Hugh, New York, who died 23.02.2022. Deeply regretted by his wife Yindi, sisters, Aine de Vere, Shercock, Co. Cavan and Dympna, Dublin, brothers, Noel, New York and Aidan, Boston, his sister-in-law, Pauline, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Michael's funeral takes place in New York on Saturday, February 26. Burial will take place in Ireland at a later date. May he rest in peace.

William (Bill) Lawe, Strokestown, Co Roscommon / Kilglass, Roscommon


The death occurred, peacefully at Portiuncula University Hospital and previously in the care of the nurses and staff of Costello's Nursing Home, Ballyleague, Co Roscommon, on Thursday, February 24, 2022 of William (Bill) Lawe, Strokestown, Co Roscommon and formerly of Cullaghamore, Kilglass, Co Roscommon.
Sadly missed by his family, neighbours and friends. May he rest in peace.
Reposing in McHugh’s Funeral Home, Strokestown, on Sunday February 27 from 5pm to 7pm. Walk through only please. The death occurred, peacefully, on Thursday, February 24, 2022 of Joe McCann, Killinure, Glasson, Athlone, Co Westmeath.  Predeceased by his loving parents Tom and Kathleen, brother Michael and niece Siobhan. Sadly missed by his loving brothers James, John, Billy and Pat, sisters Maureen, Kathleen and Peggy, In-laws, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. May He Rest In Eternal Peace.
Reposing at Flynn's Funeral home, The Strand, Athlone on Saturday evening, February 26 from 4pm until 6pm. Funeral Mass on Sunday, February 27 at 11am in the church of the Immaculate Conception, Tubberclaire, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Joe's family are very mindful of the risk of spreading Covid-19, and those attending the funeral are respectfully requested to observe social distancing, wear a face covering at all times and avoid shaking hands and hugging. The death occurred, peacefully at his home, on Thursday, February 24, of Turloch Smith, Deerpark, Belville, Ballinagh, Co Cavan. Beloved husband of Bernie, Devoted father of Niall, Terry, Conor, grandfather of Charlie, Predeceased by his parents Con, and Bridget, infant brother Ciaran. Sadly missed by brother Seamus, sisters, Anne, Mary, Patricia, and Carmel. daughters in law, Charlotte, Mikita, Camila, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan on Saturday evening, February 26 from 5pm until 7pm. Removal to arrive at St Felim's Church, Ballinagh for Funeral Mass at 2pm on Sunday, February 27. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only. The death occurred,  peacefully at the General Hospital, Cavan surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, February 25, of Denis Courtney, Kilsarn, Loughduff, Cavan. Predeceased by his brothers Joe, Seamus, George and his sister Bridie. Sadly missed by his loving wife Theresa, sons Seamus, John, Denis and Martin, daughters Anne (Murray) Helen (Walsh) brother Charlie sisters Kathleen, Lily, and Vera, daughters in law, sons in law, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends. May he rest in peace.
Reposing at Reilly's Funeral Home, Kilcogy, on Saturday, February 26 from 4pm with prayers at 6pm. Removal from his home on Sunday morning, February 27 arriving at St Joseph's Church, Loughduff, for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. House private please. The death occurred, peacefully, surrounded by loved ones at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading, Berkshire UK aged 83 years, on Sunday, February 13, 2022 of Patrick Anthony Mc Adden, Caversham, Reading, UK and late of Rathowen, Westmeath.Tony, predeceased by his parents James & Elise McAdden (nee Kearney) of Rathowen, and his sisters Maureen, Philomena and Anne. Loving husband of Liz, Tony will be deeply missed by his children Marc, Kelly, Stephen, Emma, Tilly and Lucy, His grandchildren, Conor, Matilda, Colm, Oliver, Betty, Luke, Ursula, Henry, Flick, Martha, Edward and Anthony, his great granddaughter Freya, his brothers and sisters Eilish, Seamus, Sean, Sheila and Michael, his extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Loving Husband, Daddy, Brother, Father-in-Law, Uncle and cousin. Masterful accordion player, lover of music and the craic. No one left the home of Tony and Liz hungry or thirsty either in spirit or body. Tony will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

The death occurred, peacefully, at the Beacon Hospital Dublin, on Saturday, February 12, 2022 of Lynda Barnes, Drumroosk, Ballinagh, Cavan and formerly of Dereham, Norfolk, England. Lynda will be sadly missed by her partner Michael Evans, her son Philip (Anne), daughters Joanne (Andy), Maria (Andy) and her adored grandchildren Eloise, Harry, Owen, Jasper, Chloe and Alfie, extended family neighbours and friends.
Funeral Service on Monday, February 28 at 12 noon in Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan followed by cremation.
