The death occurred, peacefully at home in the loving care of his wife Margaret, on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 of Michael McDonagh of Midara Gardens, Ardnacassa, Longford and formerly from Oory, Taugheen, Claremorris. Predeceased by his parents John and Annie, brother James, sisters Tess, Annie, Kathleen and Mary. Michael will always be remembered with love by his wife Margaret, his sisters, brother, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends. May he rest in peace.
Reposing at his home for family and close friends with removal on Saturday, February 12 at 10.40am to St Mel’s Cathedral, Longford for Funeral Mass at 11am with interment afterwards in St Colman’s Cemetery, Claremorris, Co. Mayo at 2.15p.m. (approx). Funeral Mass will be live streamed on www.longfordparish.com

The death occurred, peacefully in the devoted care of the staff at Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar surrounded by his loving family after a short illness, bravely borne, on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 of James Patrick (JP) Murtagh, Ballytoohey, Tarmonbarry, Roscommon / Tarmonbarry, Longford.
JP will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his sister Mary, brother in law Al , nieces Therese, Olivia and Ita, nephew-in-law Anthony: nephew Sean and niece-in-law Louise, grandniece Chloe, grandnephews Tiernan and Eoghan, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road on Wednesday evening, February 9 from 5pm concluding with prayers at 7pm (walk through only). The death occurred, peacefully in Mullingar General Hospital, on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 of Gerry Dempsey, School Land, Ballinalee, Co Longford and formerly of Leitrim, Coolarty, Co Longford. He is predeceased by his parents Joe and Aggie and brother Johnny. Gerry will be sadly missed by his wife Mary, brothers Frank, Jimmy, Brian and Barry, sister Marion, brothers-in-law Pat, Peter and Pat, sisters-in-law Lena Keenan, Catherine, Martina and Connie, uncle Peter, aunt Ann (England), nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, cousins, neighbours and friends. Removal on Thursday, February 10 from Smith’s Funeral home to St Mary’s Church, Granard, for Funeral Mass at 11 am, followed by burial in Carra cemetery. The death occurred, suddenly at Mullingar General Hospital, despite the valiant efforts of the wonderful staff at Resus and ICU, on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 of Eleanor Fagan (nee Farrell), 12 Clonbrusk West, Atlone, Westmeath, N37 D6R3.
Predeceased by her parents Michael and Nora, her sisters Maruna, Breda and baby Noreen. Dearly loved by her heartbroken husband PJ, daughters Tara and Maruna (Hills), her sons Mark (UK) and Niall (Coolaney), her brothers Michael, Joe and Padraic (Longford), Tara's partner Aidan Ryan, son-in-law Matt, daughters-in-law Liz and Annette, her much adored grandchildren, John, Jack, Ronan, Joe, Kay, Áine, Jake, Kai, Kiera, Layla and Kahli, her extended family, neighbours and many friends. Predeceased by his beloved wife Margaret. He will be sadly missed by his three children Fiona, Annette, Anthony, his grandchildren Frankie, Christopher, Kerrie, Alfie, Grace, Hannah, great grandchildren, brothers, sister, relatives and many friends. He was loved by many, May he Rest in Peace.
The funeral will be arriving at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Hayes, for mass at 12 noon on Friday, February 18. Burial afterwards will be at Kensal Green Cemetery, 2pm.

He is predeceased by his father Henry and brother Conny.
