Kathleen O'Reilly, Tirellan Heights, Galway City, Galway / Aughnacliffe, Longford

The death occurred peacefully in the care of the staff in St Mary's Nursing Home, Galway on Friday, February 20, 2026 of Kathleen O'Reilly, Tirellan Heights, Galway City, Galway / Aughnacliffe, Longford.

Predeceased by her parents William and Julia. Kathleen will be lovingly missed by her family; sisters Alice Riordan (Dublin), Sile (Dublin) and Imelda Hegarty (Cork), brothers Bernard and Billy, sisters in law Ann and Nuala, brother in law Pat, nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends especially her dear friends Chris, Anna and Joan. May she rest in peace. 

Removal arriving to St Joseph's Church Purth, Co Longford (N39 YX93) on Monday evening February 23 for prayers at 6pm. Mass of the Resurrection will take place on Tuesday, February 24 at 11am with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please. 

Stella McCusker (née Kellegher), 10 Greenpark Heights, Armagh City, Armagh / Longford / Leitrim

The death occurred peacefully on Friday, February 20, 2026 of Stella McCusker (née Kellegher), 10 Greenpark Heights, Armagh City, Armagh and formerly Longford / Leitrim. Dearly beloved wife of Brendan. Cherished daughter of the late Margaret and Bernard and sister of the late Mary, Bernie, Margaret, Helen, Jack and Jimmy RIP

Her remains will repose at her late residence 10 Greenpark Heights Armagh BT60 3EW on Saturday, February 21 from  1:30pm until removal on Monday, February 23 to arrive at St Joseph's Church, Madden for 11am Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Deeply regretted and sorely missed by her loving husband, brother in law Sean, sisters in law Frances and Ann, nieces, nephews and the entire family circle and many friends. On her gentle soul sweet Jesus have mercy. Family welcome visitors to their home on Saturday and Sunday between hours of 2pm - 9pm, house respectfully private outside these hours and on Monday morning please.

Rose Gettings (née Harten), Ardagullion, Granard, Longford / Ballinagh, Cavan

The death occurred peacefully at Our Lady's Manor Edgeworthstown surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, February 21, 2026 of Rose Gettings (née Harten), Ardagullion, Granard, Longford and formerly of Knockanore, Ballinagh, Co Cavan.

Pre-deceased by her brothers Tim, Donald and Seamus, her sister Liz, grandchildren Daniel, Katie and Mary. Beloved wife of Michael and devoted mother to her cherished children Andrew, Patricia, Geraldine, Michelle, Caroline and Micheál.

Rose will be deeply missed and forever loved by her heartbroken family, sons-in-law Enda, Noel, David and John, daughters-in-law Sharon and Fiona, her adored grandchildren Claire, David, Edel, Shane, Sean, Sarah, Eleanor, Riain, Keeva, Emily, Maria, Luke, Michael and Evelyn, brother Ollie sisters Kitty and Patsy, extended family, neighbours and her many good friends. May her gentle soul Rest In Peace.

Reposing at Smith’s Funeral Home Barrack Street. Granard (N39AX97) on Tuesday, February 24 from 5pm to 7pm followed by removal to St Mary’s Church Granard arriving at 8pm.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday, February 25 at 12 noon with burial afterwards in Granardkill new cemetery. Funeral Mass can be viewed online HERE.

Rev Fr Gerard McNulty, USA and late of Battery Road, Longford Town, Longford / Dublin

The death occurred peacefully at Nazareth House, San Diego, in the kind and loving care of loyal friends and attentive nursing staff on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 of Rev Fr Gerard McNulty, USA and late of Battery Road, Longford Town, Longford / Dublin. 

Predeceased by his brother, Dr Cyril, and his parents, Paddy and Lily McNulty. Sadly missed by his brothers Michael, Aidan and David; his sisters-in-law Mary, Peggy, Theresa and Martina; and all his nieces and nephews.

Fr Gerry attended All Hallows College, Dublin, and was ordained for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, CA, in 1967. He was a Major in the U.S. Air Force Reserve and a much-loved Chaplain in the Department of Veterans Affairs. He was a dearly beloved member of his family and will be very much missed by all his colleagues and friends, both in Ireland and the USA. May he Rest In Peace. 

His remains will repose at the home of his brother, Michael, 20 Sandymount Avenue, Dublin, D04 VP11, on Wednesday,  February 25 from 4pm, concluding with prayers at 8pm. Removal to St Mel’s Cathedral, Longford, on Thursday morning, February 26 for Requiem Mass at 11am, followed by interment in Ballymacormack Cemetery, Longford. Family flowers only, please. Donations, if desired, to the Society of St Vincent de Paul, care of any family member or Kelly’s Funeral Directors, Longford.

Seamus Lavin, Rathfarnham, Dublin / Annaduff, Leitrim

The death occurred peacefully, in the care of the amazing team at Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Crosson Friday, February 20, 2026 of Seamus Lavin Rathfarnham, Dublin and proudly of Annaduff, Leitrim.

Beloved husband of Mary and adored Father of Suzanne, Alan and Vivienne. Sadly missed by his loving family, son-in-law Brendan, daughter-in-law Erika, grandchildren Alex and Zoe, brother Joseph, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends. Predeceased by his brother Mel and recently deceased sister Kathleen. Rest in Peace. 

Reposing at the family home in Rathfarnham on Sunday evening, February 22 from 3pm to 6pm. House strictly private to family outside of these hours. Removal on Monday morning February 23 to the Church of the Annunciation, Rathfarnham for a Funeral Mass at 10am followed by burial in Kilmashogue Cemetery.

Alan Crossan, Rathfarnham, Dublin / Mohill, Leitrim

The death occurred peacefully at home with faith and grace, surrounded by his family in their loving care on Thursday, February 19, 2026 of Alan J. Crossan, Rathfarnham, Dublin 14 and formerly of Mohill, County Leitrim. 

Beloved husband of Loraine (otherwise Loraine N. Hanratty) and loving father of Adam and Alex. Predeceased by his father Michael and sister Rosemary and survived by his mother Pauline, brothers Gregory and Shane and nieces, Laura and Kate. Alan will be sadly missed by his family, sisters-in law, uncles, cousins, extended family, neighbours, friends and the members of the Snooker Club of The Grange Rathfarnham and all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.

Alan’s removal will take place on Monday evening, February 23, leaving his residence at 5.45pm to arrive at the Church of the Annunciation, Rathfarnham at 6pm. Funeral Mass will take place the following morning Tuesday, February 24 at 10am, attending thereafter at Mount Jerome Victorian Chapel, by family and close friends. House strictly private.

Pat Varley, Ballyglass, Mayo / Corlough, Cavan

The death occurred peacefully surrounded by his loving family and in the wonderful care of Northwick Park Hospital on Monday, February 9, 2026 of Pat Varley, Wembley, London and formerly of Ballyglass, Co Mayo/ Corlough, Cavan.

Predeceased by his son James and sister Nano. Pat, dearly beloved husband of Anne (nee Cassidy, formerly Leitra, Corlough), devoted and adored dad of Patrick & Murtagh and father-in-law of Tracy. Much loved brother of Madie, John, Carmel & Della. Pat will be sadly and lovingly missed by his adored family, extended family, neighbours and friends. May Patrick Rest in Peace.

Attended Funeral Service before repatriation to be held on Monday, February 23 at 4pm in St Mary Magdalen Church, Willesden, London. The service can be viewed HERERemoval on Friday morning, February 27 from Smith's Funeral Home, High Street, Ballinamore, N41 TD62, travelling via Cronera Cross, Cortoon and Leitra to arrive at St Patrick’s Church, Corlough, Co Cavan for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. The death occurred suddenly in Manchester, England on Monday, February 2, 2026 of Seamus Carthy, Manchester, England / Lisonuffy, Strokestown, Co Roscommon.

Beloved husband of Brenda, much loved father of Kieran, Kathleen & Colleen and adored grandad of Charlie, Finley, Gracie, Aoife & Fiadh. Seamus will be sadly missed by his sorrowing wife and family, sisters Margaret & Mary, brothers Matt, Brian, Gerard & Eamon, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives, neighbours and many friends both in England & Ireland. Seamus is predeceased by his parent's Brian & Susan, his sisters baby Bridget, Rosie, Pattie & Bernadette and by his brother baby Tim. Rest In Peace.

Reposing at McHugh's Funeral Home, Strokestown (F42 RK72) on Sunday, February 22 from 4.30pm until 6pm, followed by Removal to St. Mary's Church, Carniska, to arrive for 6.30pm. Eva Toth, Tullylannan, Leitrim Village, Co Leitrim

The death occurred suddenly at her home on Monday, February 16, 2026 of Eva Toth, Cois Abhainn, Tullylannan, Leitrim Village, Co Leitrim and formerly Hajdúdorog, Hungary.

Predeceased by her father Tóth András. Eva will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her heartbroken family, Loving partner Steven, adored children Holly and Tommy, cherished daughter of Percze Miklósné, sister Andrea, brother-in-law Váradi-Kalmár Péter, mother-in-law Claire and Father-in-law Reg Misani, sisters-in-law Becky, Ellie and Izzy, niece Váradi-Kalmár Nóra, nephew Váradi-Kalmár András, aunt Oláh Lászlóné, uncles Nagy György and Tóth János, cousins, relatives, neighbours, friends and her work colleagues at Sligo University hospital. George Bryson, Manchester and Buckley, Wales, and late of Drumbess, Cornafean, Arva, Co Cavan

The death occurred peacefully at Wrexham General Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 of George Samual Bryson, Manchester and Buckley, Wales and late of Drumbess, Cornafean, Arva, Co Cavan. 

Predeceased by his wife Florence and his sister Eva. Sadly missed by his sons John and David, daughters Karen and Sandra, son-in-law Mike, brothers Victor (Doreen), John (Susan), sister Frances (Noel), his adored grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and many friends. The funeral will be held in Manchester at a later date.

"Safe in God's Keeping". He spent many happy visits holidaying with his special niece Lorna and the Hamilton and Good Families in Cornafean, Arva, Co Cavan.
