The death occurred peacefully in the loving care of the nurses and staff of St Joseph’s Care Centre, surrounded by her family on Monday, February 16, 2026 of Bridget (Bridie) Campbell, Beech Avenue, Prospect Woods, Longford town.

Pre-deceased by her parents Michael and Bridget, sister Nancy and by her brothers Laurence, Michael, Patrick and Thomas. Bridie will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, sisters-in-law Rita and Kathleen, nieces Mary, Caitriona, Sarah and Annmarie, nephews Michael, Larry and Pat, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, relatives and friends.May she rest in peace.

Reposing at her residence in Prospect Woods (N39 E1C2) on Wednesday, February 18 from 5pm until 8pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Thursday, February 19 in St Mel’s Cathedral at 11am, interment afterwards in Ballymacormack cemetery. Una Walshe (née McGrane), Moyne, Durrow, Laois / Moydow, Longford

The death occurred unexpectedly but peacefully, at her home on Monday, February 16, 2026 of Una Walshe (nèe McGrane), Moyne, Durrow, Co. Laois and formerly of Moydow, Co Longford. 

Predeceased by her parents Patrick and Kathleen, her sisters Bernadette and Kathleen and her brother James. Deeply regretted by her loving husband and best friend Gerry, loving mother to Vincent, Derek and Eline, cherished grandmother to Joseph, Jordan, Kieran and Sandra, sadly missed by her daughter-in-law Deirdre, sister Theresa, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. The death occurred suddenly, on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 of Eamon Hand, Mullinroe, Dring, Co Longford and formerly of Carrickfern, Cavan, Co Cavan. Retired Sergeant of An Garda Síochána. 

Predeceased by his parents Peter and Frances and sister Mary. Deeply regretted by his heartbroken wife Eleanor, daughter Aoife, sons Sean (Ceilí), Fergal (Dori) and Peter, brother John, sisters Bernadette and Ailish, sisters in law, brothers in law, nephews, nieces and a large circle of friends. The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, February 15, 2026 of Vera Corrigan (née McNamee), Kiltybegs, Carriglass, Longford and formerly of Drinan, Ballymahon. 

Predeceased by her parents Jimmy and Tess. William (Liam) Maguire, Birchgrove, Ballinasloe, Galway / Legga, Longford

The death occurred peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff at Ballinasloe Community Nursing unit, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, February 15, 2026 of William (Liam) Maguire, Birchgrove, Ballinasloe, Co, Galway and late of Legga, Moyne, Co Longford.  

Husband of Mary and dear father of Morgan, David and Grace (Teefey). Predeceased by his Father Peter, Mother Lily and Brother Michael. Sadly missed by his wife, Sons, Daughter, son-in-law Philip, daughters in law Breda and Ellen, his adored Grandchildren Seán, Brian, Conor, Andrew & Pearl, Seán, Marcus, Joseph & Emma, brothers Peter, Ollie, John & Martin and his sister Kathleen, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces relatives and many friends. Reposing at Grenhams Funeral Home, St Michael’s Square, Townparks, Ballinasloe, Co Galway, H53T8W9 on Wednesday evening, February 18 from 5pm until 7pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday, February 19 at 12  noon in St Mary’s Church, Legga, N39 XK11. Interment afterwards in Tubberpatrick, Cemetery.

The family wish to record their appreciation to the staff of Ballinasloe Community Nursing unit, Creagh and Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe, Ruth and Claire, public health nurses and the extended home help team for their excellent care and compassion to Liam and family.

Brian (Bernard) Campbell, 'Westway', Galway Road, Roscommon town, Roscommon / Ballinalee, Longford

The death occurred in the dedicated care of the staff of the Claddagh Ward at University Hospital Galway, following a long illness borne with strength and dignity on Sunday, February 15, 2026 of Brian (Bernard) Campbell ‘Westway’, Galway Road, Roscommon town and formerly of Corneddan, Ballinalee, County Longford. 

Reunited with his beloved recently deceased wife Catherine (née Forde) and sons Joseph and Gerard in heaven, Brian was the cherished father of Catríona and father-in-law of Shane (Keating) and adored grandad of Kate and Jamie. Pre-deceased by his parents John and Brigid and brothers Pat and Terence. Brian will be very sadly missed by his sister Margaret Casey (Newtownbond), his nieces, nephews, extended family, former Garda colleagues, friends and neighbours. Rest in peace.

Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon (F42 NH27) on Wednesday evening, February 18 from 6.30pm until 8pm. Removal from his home on Thursday morning, February 19 arriving at the Sacred Heart Church, Roscommon for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am. Burial afterwards in St Coman’s Cemetery. Margaret Moore (née Reynolds), Clonboy, Clones, Monaghan, H23 D625 / Longford

The death occurred peacefully, in Drumbear Nursing Home, Monaghan, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, February 15, 2026 of Margaret Moore (née Reynolds) Clonboy, Clones, Co Monaghan and formerly from Longford.

Predeceased by her husband Michael and her younger brother Michael Reynolds. Cherished and much loved mother of Noble (Lizzi), Garrett (Michelle), Bob (JoJo). Margaret will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her sons, daughters-in-law, adored grandchildren, Joseph, Marie, Aoife, Daniel, Áine, Louise, Cora and Finn, her sister Kathleen (John-Joe Reilly, Granard) and her brother Mark (Marcella, Redhills), her cousin Maureen, sisters-in law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, neighbours and by all who knew and loved Margaret. Cherished husband of Mary and beloved father of Conor, Tommy, Avril & Morgan and adored Pappa of Katie, Elliott, Sofia, Noah and Odin. Hazel Woolterton (née Benton), Páirc na Locha, Tirnawannagh, Bawnboy, Cavan / Ballinamore, Leitrim

The death occurred  peacefully in the loving care of the staff at Lough Erril Nursing Home, Mohill Co. Leitrim on Thursday, February 12, 2026 of Hazel Woolterton (nee Benton), Kent U.K. & Páirc na Locha, Tirnawannagh, Bawnboy, Co Cavan, & Lahard, Ballinamore, Co Leitrim.

Predeceased by her husband Alan and her sisters Clarice & Heather. Hazel will be sadly missed by her son Marc and her daughter Dina, her sister Susan, brother David, daughter-in-law Natasha, son-in-law Andrew, grandchildren Amelia, Esmée, William & Florence, her brother in law Keith, sister-in-law Beverly, nephews, nieces, extended family & friends. Judy Pearse (née Orr), Delgany Wood, Delgany, Wicklow / Longford / Dublin

The death occurred at St Vincent's Hospital Elm Park on Monday, January 26, 2026 of Judy Pearse (née Orr) late of Delgany Wood, Delgany, Co Wicklow/ Longford/ Dublin. 

Predeceased by her beloved husband David, beautiful granddaughter Leah, dear brother David and her special cousin Sue. She will be sadly missed by her children Fiona, Shauna, Vanessa, Perrin and Garret, her sister Val, her many grandchildren, three sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, her brother-in-law, the extended family, neighbours and friends. A special word of thanks to the amazing staff in the Sugarloaf Care Centre, Kilmacanogue, who cared for Judy with compassion and kindness for the past fourteen months. 

A gathering to remember Judy will take place on Friday, February 20 at the Royal St George Yacht Club, Harbour Road, Dun Laoghaire commencing at 13.30. Friends and colleagues are warmly welcomed to attend and to share stories. Canapes and refreshments will be provided. Family flowers only. Maureen O'Neill (née Gorman), Longford town, Co Longford / Sligo

It's with deep sadness that we announce the death of our beloved mother, Maureen O' Neill, (nee Gorman), late of Townspark, Longford town, formerly of Ardagh, and Sligo, suddenly on Saturday, February 7, 2026 in Longford Westmeath General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Pre-deceased by her son James, her husband Shamey, brothers and sisters. Maureen will be very sadly missed by her son Alan, daughters, Carol and Breda. Her son-in-law Phillip, her grandchildren, Trudy, Elaine, Aaron, Shane, and Colin. Her great-grandchildren Alex, Aoibh, Cassie, and Mikie. Also by her loving partner, John, her close friend Trish, and her many relatives and friends in Longford and Sligo.

Maureen was known for her kindness, gentle nature, and deep love for her family. She touched the lives of many with her warm heart and her positive outlook on life. Her memory will live on in all who knew her. 

In honour of Maureen's wishes, a private resomation has already taken place. A celebration of Maureen's life will take place in St Mel's Cathedral on Saturday, February 21 at 11am. No flowers, please.

George Bryson, Manchester and Buckley, Wales, and late of Drumbess, Cornafean, Arva, Co Cavan

The death occurred peacefully at Wrexham General Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 of George Samual Bryson, Manchester and Buckley, Wales and late of Drumbess, Cornafean, Arva, Co Cavan. 

Predeceased by his wife Florence and his sister Eva. Sadly missed by his sons John and David, daughters Karen and Sandra, son-in-law Mike, brothers Victor (Doreen), John (Susan), sister Frances (Noel), his adored grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and many friends. The funeral will be held in Manchester at a later date.

"Safe in God's Keeping". He spent many happy visits holidaying with his special niece Lorna and the Hamilton and Good Families in Cornafean, Arva, Co Cavan.
