John Heneghan, The Clover, Creevaghmore, Ballymahon, Longford

The death occurred peacefully surrounded by his heartbroken family in Mullingar Regional Hospital on Friday, January 30, 2026 of John Heneghan, The Clover, Creevaghmore, Ballymahon, Longford (formerly of Greene & Heneghan Tyres, Market Square, Longford).

Reunited with his beloved wife Mary (recently deceased), his parents John and Bridget, brother Patsy and sister Mish. John will be sadly missed and forever remembered with love by his family, his cherished children Stephen, Lynda, David, Joanne, Karen and Emma, sons-in-law Hugh Quaine and Declan O'Neill, daughter-in-law Annamaire, his adored grandchildren Seán, Erin, Robyn, Rían, Evan, Elliot, Ryan, Evie, Finn, Cara, Senan, Saibh, Naoise and Donagh, brothers Michael and Declan (Tipperary), sisters-in-law, nephews,nieces, relatives and his wonderful neighbours and friends.

Your life was love and labour, Your love for your family true, You did your best for all of us, We will always love and remember you. Rest in Peace John.

Reposing on Monday, February 2 in St Matthew's Church, Ballymahon, Co Longford from 6pm until 8pm. Removal from his home on Tuesday, February 3 to arrive to St Matthew's Church for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Following Mass, John will be laid to rest in the family plot in Shrule Cemetery. Fresh flowers only please. Family home private please. 

Mary Catherine (Babs) Seery, Edenmore, Ballinamuck, Longford

The death occurred peacefully in the loving care of the nurses and staff of Cavan General Hospital on Saturday, January 31, 2026 of Mary Catherine (Babs) Seery, Edenmore, Ballinamuck, Co Longford. 

Predeceased by her parents Pakie and Anna Mae, brothers Jamsie (Australia), Sean (UK), Michael (Edenmore) and Tom (Main Street, Arva) and by her nephew Sean Jnr. Babs will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, sister Anna Rose (Leeds, U.K.), sister-in-law Margaret, nieces, nephews, relatives, wonderful carers, neighbours and great friends. May she rest in peace.

Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road, Longford (N39 EC81) on Monday, February 2, 2026 from 6pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Mass of the Resurrection in St Colmcille’s Church, Aughnacliffe on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at 12 noon, interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Crea Catherine Nolan, Ballynattin, Borris, Carlow / Longford / Dalkey, Dublin

The death occurred at home in the presence of her loving husband on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 of Crea Catherine Nolan, Ballynattin, Borris, Co Carlow and Rhynmount, Clondra, Co Longford, and formerly of Dalkey, Co Dublin.

Crea was predeceased by her dear parents Maeve and Brian and will be deeply missed by her husband Patrick, daughters Kasia, Druime and Bebhinn, sons in law Tom and Noelie, granddaughters, Pollyana, Phoebe, Charlotte and Summer, grandsons Ewyn, Thom Og and Culann, brother Keith, sisters Maeve and Darina, brother in law Eddie, nephews Boyce, Brian, Harry, Osgar, Cian and niece Sinead, and all her loving cousins and many friends home and abroad. Rest in peace.

Reposing at Joyce's Funeral Home, Borris, Co Carlow (R95DV76) from 4pm to 7pm on Sunday, February 1. Funeral to arrive at the Victorian Chapel Mount Jerome Crematorium for service at 12.15pm on Monday, February 2. Funeral Service can be viewed HERE

Cecilia Richardson (née Mulligan), Ballyjamesduff, Cavan / Ballinagh, Cavan

The death occurred suddenly but peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by her loving husband Gerry and her family on Saturday, January 31, 2026 of Cecilia Richardson (née Mulligan), Cairn, Ballyjamesduff, and formerly of Lacken, Ballinagh, Co Cavan. 

Predeceased by her parents, Mike Joe and Rose. Sadly missed by her heartbroken husband Gerry; her brothers Padraig (Sharon), Michael, Frankie (Olivia), and Gerard (Eimear); her sisters, her twin Maggie (Maggie P), Rosie (Adrian), and Susan (Seamus).

Also sadly missed by her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews Aidan, Gavin, Tiernan, Aoibhe, Grainne, and Mille Rose (goddaughter); aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbours, and many friends. May She Rest In Peace.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan on Monday evening, January 2 from 5.30pm with prayers at 7.30pm.
Requiem Mass on Tuesday, February 3 at 12 noon in St Michael’s Church, Potahee, interment afterwards in the adjoining new Cemetery.

Patricia Moran, Mohill, Leitrim / Keshcarrigan, Leitrim

The death occurred peacefully at Sligo University Hospital on Friday, January 30, 2026 of Patricia Moran, Mohill, Co Leitrim and formerly of Bonail, Keshcarrigan, Co Leitrim. 

Predeceased by her parents John & Annie Moran, brother Kevin & sister Mary. Patricia will be sadly missed by her sisters Lily, Ellen, Nuala, Teresa & Collette, brothers William & JohnJoe, brothers-in-law Noel Moran & Micheal Gilbane, Godson Alan & all her nieces, nephews & cousins.

The death occurred peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, January 29, 2026 of Robert James Boaden, 'Rockcrest', Main Street, Arva, Cavan.

Beloved husband of Sydney and dear father of Robert (Dawn) and Clive (Elise), his adored grandchildren Samuel, Ben and Jacques. Funeral arrangements later
