The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and the caring nurses and staff of Laurel Lodge Nursing Home, Longford, following a long illness on Sunday, November 30, 2025 of Breda Victory (nee Carmody) Ballinruddy, Ardagh, Co Longford and late of Knockerra, Co. Clare.  

Predeceased recently by her husband Liam and in the past by her sisters Mary, Teresa, Josie, Peggy and Imy and her brothers Pat, Tommy, John and Martin. Sadly missed by her sons Paul and Dean and her daughter Michelle, her sister Anne and her sister-in-law Mary, her grandchildren Dayna, Dylan, Karen, Ben, Leia, Ruby, Max and Abbie, her great-grandchildren Erin and Liam, her daughters-in-law Bernardine and Teresa, her son-in-law Paul, nieces and nephews, extended family, friends and the caring staff at Laurel Lodge Nursing Home. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Reposing at Laurel Lodge Nursing Home Chapel, Ballinalee Road, Longford, on Tuesday, December 2 from 5pm with prayers at 7pm. Removal from her home in Ballinruddy on Wednesday, December 3 to St. Brigid's Church, Ardagh, arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Margaret Dooner (née Patridge), Kilcommock, Kenagh, Co Longford

The death occurred peacefully in her home surrounded by her heartbroken family on Monday, December 1, 2025 of Margaret Dooner (nee Patridge) Kilcommock, Kenagh, Co Longford and formerly of Terlicken, Ballymahon, Co Longford.

Predeceased by her parents Paddy and Margaret, brother Pat and her sister-in-law Celine. Margaret will be sadly missed and always remembered by all who loved her dearly, husband and best friend Tony, daughter Mairead Burns, son Colm, daughter-in-law Marian Dennigan, son-in-law Cathal Burns, her cherished grandchild Nuncio, sister Maureen McCarthy (Galway), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and her many dear friends. Michael Carrigy, Lislea, Ballinalee, Co Longford

The death occurred peacefully surrounded by his loving family, in his 80th year on Saturday, November 29, 2025 of Michael Carrigy, Lislea, Ballinalee, Co Longford.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Catherina and his dearly loved son Shane (recently deceased). Michael will be sadly missed and always remembered by his daughter Michelle, sons Michael (Karena), Aiden and Raymond, his cherished grandchildren Eoghan, Aaron, Cillian, Cian, Odhrán, Kayla and Ryan; his daughter-in-law, Anne (Carrigy); sisters Eileen (Boyle) and Kathleen (Corkery), brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, extended family, and his many wonderful neighbours, colleagues and friends. Reposing in his family home in Lislea (N39X398) on Tuesday, December 2 from 4pm concluding with prayers at 7pm. Michael's Funeral Mass will be held at 12pm on Wednesday, December 3 in the Holy Trinity Church, Ballinalee. Following Mass, Michael will be laid to rest in the family plot in St Emer's Cemetery.

Sister Perpetua (Mary Patricia) Crerand, Foxford, Mayo / Longford

The death occurred peacefully at Mercy Sisters Care Centre, Derby on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 of Sister Perpetua (Mary Patricia) Crerand, Presentation Sister late of Matlock, England / Foxford, Co Mayo / Longford.

Sister Perpetua Crerand, pre-deceased by her beloved parents John and Alice, brothers Liam and Séan (Br. Oswald) and sisters Úna and Clare, will be sadly missed by her beloved Presentation Sisters, her nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews and relatives from the Crerand, Marsh and O’Reilly families and her friends. The death occurred peacefully at the Regional Hospital Mullingar on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 of Tony Laffere, Ballykilmurray, Tullamore, Offaly / Longford. Tony will be sadly missed by his son Aaron, Aaron's partner Kelly and Aaron's mother Yvonne, grandchild Freya, brothers Rory and his wife Carmel, Adrian and his partner Nicki, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Noel Brady, Kilmainham, Ballinagh, Cavan

The death occurred peacefully at his home on Saturday, November 29, 2025 of Noel Brady, Kilmainham, Ballinagh, Cavan and formerly Lacken. 

Predeceased by his beloved wife and best friend Nuala, his parents Phil and Lena, his brothers-in-law Hughie McGovern and Packie Smith and sister-in-law Kathleen Harten. Noel will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his son Cormac (Michelle), his adored grandson Cian, his brothers Eamonn (Attracta) and Padraic (Pauline), his sister Eileen, sister's in law Bridie Smith and Marie Dalton (Paddy), nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and many friends. Brigid Annie Bohan (née Molloy), Drumgowna, Gortletteragh, Leitrim / Mohill, Leitrim

The death occurred peacefully, in her 102nd year, in the kind care of staff of Aras Carolan Nursing Home, Mohill, on Saturday, November 29, 2025 of Brigid Annie, Bohan (nee Molloy) O’Carolan, Court, Mohill and late of Drumgowna, Gortletteragh. 

Brigid was predeceased her husband John Pat and her siblings Johnny, Tommy and Alice. She will be greatly missed by her close friends, Mary Carroll and Sissie Bohan, by her nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins and many friends. May Brigid Rest in Peace.

Reposing at the residence of her niece Philomena at no 8 Main Street, Drumsna on Monday, December 1 from 4 to 6 pm followed by removal to St Patricks Church Mohill for prayers at 7pm. Kathleen Lagarde (née Doyle), Enaghan, Aughnacliffe, Longford / Arva, Cavan

The death occurred in the Netherlands on Monday, November 24, 2025 of Kathleen Lagarde (née Doyle) Culemborg, Netherlands and formerly Enaghan, Co Longford.

Predeceased by her parents Brian and Mary Anne Doyle, sister Siobhán, brothers Liam, Seamus and Michael. Kathleen will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, daughter Sabrina (Chris), son Andrew (Laura), their father Bert, her adored grandchildren, Quinn and Kian, brothers Noel (Kathleen) and Vincent, sisters Bridie (Randolph Applewhaite, England), Mary (Mick Flavin Drumlish), Claire (Dessie Ronan, Cavan), Bernadette (Frank Meaney U S.A), Teresa (Pat Finnegan, Cavan), Carmel (Sean Duffy, Legga) and Martina (Peter Donohoe, Dromard), nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and many friends.

The death occurred peacefully on Thursday, October 23, 2025 of Mary Birkett (nee Geelan), Suffolk, England and formerly of Dublin Street, Longford.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family aged 91 years on Saturday, November 22, 2025 of Teresa Morris (née Gilgan), Hornchurch, Essex, UK, formerly of Kilmacowen, Ballisodare, Co. Sligo, and The Square, (The Spar Supermarket), Drumshanbo, Co. Leitrim.

Teresa is predeceased by husband John, son John, parents Patrick and Margaret (née Bree), and her brothers & sisters Michael James, Kathleen, Myra, Peggy, Patrick and Mary. Teresa will be deeply missed and remembered always by her loving children Theresa, Patricia, Geraldine, Pauline, Alan & daughter-in-law Nam, Margaret & son-in-law Kevin; her cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
