The death occurred peacefully in the loving care of the nurses and staff of Innis Ree Nursing Home, Ballyleague on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 of John Jordan, The Green, Lanesboro, Co Longford.  

Pre-deceased by his beloved wife Bernadette. John will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, Frank, Johnny, Mary, Declan, Anthony, Fintan, Caroline, Lisa and Wesley, sister Frances, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.

Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road (N39 EC81) on Thursday, May 15 from 6pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Friday, May 16 in St Mary’s Church, Lanesboro at 12 noon, interment afterwards in Clonbonny cemetery. The Funeral Mass will be streamed live please go to https://www.churchtv.ie/lanesborough/ Family flowers only please. Patrick (Paddy) O'Reilly, Beechlawn, Villa Court, Prosperous, Kildare / Ballinalee, Longford / Mullingar, Westmeath

The death occurred peacefully in Naas General Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 of Patrick (Paddy) O'Reilly, Beechlawn, Villa Court, Prosperous, Co Kildare and late of Ballinalee, Co Longford and Mullingar, Co Westmeath. Predeceased by his adored wife Susan and brother Frankie, deeply regretted and sadly missed by his children Sean and Claire, daughter-in-law Julie, son-in-law Dean, two very adored grandchildren Samuel and Connor, brother Tommy, sister Ann, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and a large circle of friends. Rest In Peace.

Reposing at Oliver Reilly's Funeral Home, Prosperous (W91T62P) on Thursday, May 15 from 5pm - 8pm, with evening prayers at 7.30pm. Removal from Oliver Reilly's Funeral Home on Friday, May 16 at 11.30am to arrive at The Church of Our Lady & St. Joseph, Prosperous for 12pm funeral mass, followed by burial in Killybegs Cemetery, Prosperous. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to the Friends of Naas Hospital.

Brendan Brennan, Railway Road, Ballinamore, Leitrim

The death occurred peacefully at his home, in the tender care of his loving family on Sunday, May 11, 2025 of Brendan Brennan Railway Road, Ballinamore, Co Leitrim.

Predeceased by his infant daughter Martina, his parents May & Jack, his brothers Dick, Frank, Martin & Joseph and his sister Mary Murtagh (Joe) Limerick. Brendan will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Vera (nee Fox), his family Colm, Una (Nigel), Gavin (Louise), Sharon (David) & Laura, his sisters Ann Byrne (Tom), Cavan & Bernadette McKeon (Frank R.I.P.) Drumshanbo, his grandchildren Michaela, Mark, Mia, Grace, Niamh, Katelyn & Patrick, his nieces & nephews, extended Brennan and Fox families, neighbours and a wide circle of friends. Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Smith’s Funeral Home, High St. Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim, N41 TD62 on Tuesday evening, May 13 from 5pm until 8pm. Removal on Wednesday, May 14 from his home to arrive at St. Patrick’s Church, Ballinamore, for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Oughteragh Cemetery, Ballinamore. House private please. James (Jimmy) Irwin, Brittas, Glasson, Westmeath

The death occurred peacefully at Beckett Nursing Home in Newport Pagnell UK on Monday, April 28, 2025 of James (Jimmy) Irwin, formerly of Brittas, Glasson Westmeath and residing in the UK.

Jimmy was predeceased by his wife Annette. He will be sadly missed by his sons Ralph and Andrew, daughter-in-law Jane, grandson Ashley, sister Bridie, brother Joe, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

The funeral will take place on Thursday, May 29 at 12.30pm, at St Peter and St Paul’s Church, Newport Pagnell, followed by burial for family members only. Family flowers only but donations can be made via www.hwmason.co.uk (funeral directors) to Alzheimer’s UK.

Patricia Peters (née Dooner), Rooskey, Roscommon

The death occurred peacefully  in the presence of her loving family after an unexpected short illness, under the excellent care of the ICU staff at King’s College Hospital London on Friday, April 18, 2025 of Patricia Peters (née Dooner), Sevenoaks, Kent, UK and formerly Rooskey, Roscommon. 

Beloved wife of Alan and dear mother of Michelle and Chris, step-mother to David, sister to Seamus Dooner and cherished nana to Oliver, Daniel and Emily. Pat will also be sadly missed by her daughter-in-law and son-in-law and her dear cousins and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. May Pat rest in peace.

Funeral Mass will take place at St Thomas of Canterbury Catholic Church, Sevenoaks, Kent, TN13 1ER, on June 5 at 2pm (live-stream available).
