The death occurred peacefully after a short illness, in the wonderful care of the staff of Mullingar Regional Hospital on Saturday, January 4, 2025 of Nuala Rahill, Castle Forbes, Newtownforbes, Longford.
Nuala will be deeply mourned, her spirit, gentleness and kindness will be greatly missed by all who knew her, Mary her life long friend, Lady Georgina, friends and work colleagues at Castle Forbes, Sisters of Mercy, cousins, friends and neighbours. Reposing in Connell’s Funeral Home, Church Street, Longford N39 KN66 on Monday, January 6 from 3.30pm with prayers at 4.45pm, followed by removal to St Mary’s Church, Newtownforbes for prayers at 6pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Tuesday, January 7 at 12 noon. Following Mass, Nuala will be laid to rest in the local cemetery. Please Note: No hand shaking.

The death occurred suddenly at home on Thursday, January 2, 2025 of Catherine Hamill (nee Creegan) Palace Fields, Tuam, Co Galway and late of New York, Dublin and Longford.
Predeceased by her father Seamus Creegan. Sadly missed by her loving husband Tony, daughters Gráinne and Deirdre, her mother Nuala, sisters Fionnuala and Suranne, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Catherine will be reposing at Grogan’s Funeral Home, Barrack Street, Tuam (H54 Y677) on Monday evening, January 6 from 6pm. Removal at 7pm to the Cathedral of the Assumption. Terence Reynolds, Yonkers, NY and formerly of Cloncowley, Drumlish, Longford

The death occurred peacefully at his home in Yonkers, NY, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with Glioblastoma on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 of Terence Reynolds, Yonkers, NY and formerly of Cloncowley, Drumlish, Longford. July 5, 1947 – December 31, 2024. Born on July 5, 1947, in Cloncowley, Drumlish, Co. Longford, Ireland, Terence lived a life full of love, dedication, and generosity. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Terence came to NY in 1968 and joined the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local Union 608, where he served as a lifetime member. He was a devout pioneer and a great advocate of total abstinence having faithfully served as president of the Pioneer Total Abstinence Association of the Sacred Heart (Bronx). Terence is pre-deceased by his parents Patrick and Martha and brother Michael. He is survived by his devoted wife, Josephine, his cherished daughters, Martha and Christina, and his adored grandchildren, Johnny, Patrick, Athena, and Amaryllis, and his beloved dog Gus. Also sadly missed by his sons-in-law, Robert and Philip, as well as extended family, friends, and neighbors who held him dear.
A viewing was held at Flower Funeral Home in Yonkers, Friday, January 3, 2025 (4-8pm) followed by a Funeral Mass on Saturday, January 4, 2025 (11am) at St. Paul the Apostle Church, Yonkers. Followed by interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Yonkers. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Glioblastoma Foundation in Terence’s memory. Beloved husband of Alice and much loved father of John, Robert, Ellen and Miriam. Predeceased by his sister Betty Edgill. The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and under the exceptional care of the staff of Midlands Regional Hospital Mullingar on Sunday, January 5, 2025 of Brigid Kellegher (nee Burns) Mullingar and formerly of Rooskynamona, Bornacoola Co Leitrim and Cavan Town.
Brigid was the beloved wife of the late John (Jack) (Cloonart, Longford) and predeceased by her sister Sr. Eileen and brothers Loughlin and Terry. Deeply missed by her children Marie (Walsh, Killarney), Eithne, John, Tina, Colum, and Dominick, sons-in-law Dermott and Gordon, daughters-in-law Marian, Oonagh, and Aoife. Brigid was a cherished grandmother to Elena, Jake, Anna, Lily, Michael, Irene, Isobel and Brian, and a great-grandmother to Braxton. She also leaves behind her sister Annette, sisters-in-law Geraldine and Stella, brother-in-law John as well as a large circle of extended family, neighbours, and friends who will mourn her loss.
