Mary Keane (née Furey), Main Street, Drumlish, Longford

The death occurred peacefully at Portiuncula University Hospital Ballinasloe, surrounded by her loving family and nursing staff on Saturday, November 30, 2024 of Mary Keane (nee Furey) Main Street, Drumlish, Co Longford. Predeceased by her husband Stephen, her parents Jim and Mary. Sadly missed and remembered by her close friend Michael, cousins, relatives and many friends. May she Rest in Peace.

Mary will repose at Glennon's Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road, Co. Longford (N39 EC81) on Monday, December 2 from 1:30pm until 3:30pm with prayers at 3:15. Funeral mass on Tuesday, December 3 in St Mary's Church, Drumlish at 11am followed by burial in local cemetery. Funeral mass will be streamed live HEREFamily flowers only please. Donations in lieu to 'Inis Aoibhinn' Cancer Care West. House strictly private please.

Claire Sullivan, Longford town, Co Longford / Bornacoola, Leitrim

The death occurred peacefully on Thursday, November 28, 2024 of Claire Sullivan, Camlin Meadows, Farneyhoogan, Longford town and formerly of Bornacoola, Co Leitrim. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Teresa, sister Carol and by her brother Jimmy. Claire will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, son Colm and his father Andrew, sisters Mary, Geraldine and Catherine, brothers Michael and Tommy, lifelong friends Linda, Antoinette, Joanne and Siobhan, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. May she rest in peace.

Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road (N39 EC81) on Monday, December 2 from 5pm concluding with prayers at 7pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Tuesday, December 3 in St Mel’s Cathedral at 11am, followed by cremation at Lakeland's Crematorium at 1.45pm. The Funeral Mass will be streamed live please view here

Veronica Kenny (née O'Toole) Corrick, Aughamore, Carrick-on-Shannon, Leitrim

The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by her loving family in the University Hospital Sligo on Monday, December 2, 2024 of Veronica Kenny (nee O'Toole) Corrick, Aughamore, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Leitrim.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Bill and brother George. Veronica will be sadly missed by her heartbroken family, daughters Martina McGarry (Corduff) and Bernadette McKiernan (Cloone), sons-in-law Peter and Gerard, her adored grandchildren Caroline, Majella, Deirdre, Dymphna, Alan and Ryan, also her 12 great-grandchildren, relatives, neighbours and her many dear friends.

Veronica will repose in St Mary's Church, Annaduff, Aghamore, Co. Leitrim on Wednesday, December 4 from 6 o'clock until 7.30 o'clock. Removal from her home on Thursday, December 5 to arrive to St. Mary's Church Annaduff for Funeral Mass at 11 o'clock. Following Mass, Veronica will be laid to rest in the family plot in the adjoining Cemetery. Family home private please.

Michael (Micéal) McKeon, Antfield, Aughamore, Carrick-on-Shannon, Leitrim, N41 FW74 / Annaduff, Co Leitrim

The recent death has occurred peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Monday, December 2, 2024 of Michael (Micéal) McKeon, Antfield, Aughamore, Carrick-on -Shannon Co. Leitrim.  

Predeceased by his wife Bridie, parents Pee & Margaret, stepmother Bridie and sisters Lillie & Peggy. Micéal will be sadly missed by his daughters Karen (McGovern) and Michelle (Butler), son in laws Gearoid and Paul, grandchildren Noah, Saoirse, Cormac, Donnacha, Michael & Robyn, sister Tessie, brother Padraig, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and many close friends. May Micéal’s Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

Reposing at his home N41 FW74 on Tuesday, December 3 from 4pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday, December 4  at 12pm in St. Mary’s Church, Annaduff, Co. Leitrim, followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to the North West Hospice Sligo. The family appreciates your sympathy, support and understanding at this sad time. 

Cathal Kelly Brookside, Farnham Rd, Cavan Town, Co Cavan and formerly Clonulla, Cloone, Co Leitrim

The death occurred peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, November 30, 2024 of Cathal Kelly (retired Garda Sergeant and Brookside Security C.E.O), Brookside, Farnham Rd, Cavan Town and formerly Cornulla, Cloone, Co Leitrim.

Predeceased and reunited with his beloved wife and best friend Evelyn and with his brothers Pat Joe, John and Benny. Cathal will be very sadly missed and dearly loved by his heartbroken family, Padraig, Paula (David), Orla (Sundara), Cathal (Anita), Aishling (Tom), Damian and son Dylan, Evelyn (Conor) and Aoife. Also by his brothers Tom and Gerry (Dublin), his sisters, Sr. Dympna (Edgeworthstown), Eileen Considine (Ennis), Bridie Lucas and Tess Cox (both England) and Josie Costello (Carrick On Shannon), his adored grandchildren, brothers-in -law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, all his extended family, neighbours, former Garda colleagues and a wide circle of friends. May he rest in peace.

Reposing at the McMahon Funeral Home, Farnham Road, Cavan (H12C821) on Monday evening, December 2 from 5pm until 8pm. Cathal's Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, December 3 at 12 noon in the Cathedral of S.s Patrick and Felim, Cavan. Burial will take place afterwards in St Brigid's Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to the Palliative Care Unit at Cavan General Hospital via donation box in the Funeral Home.

    Andy Lannon, Clooneylyons, Strokestown, Roscommon

    The death occurred peacefully, but unexpectedly, at Portiuncla Hospital, Ballinasloe on Saturday, November 30, 2024 of Andy Lannon, Clooneylyons, Strokestown, Roscommon former school bus driver with CIE. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Mary Kate.

    Beloved husband of Patsy and much loved father of Ursula, Andrew, Adrian and Sandra. Andy will be sadly missed by his heartbroken wife and family, his brother Oliver, grandchildren Jack, Caolan, Caoimhe, Fionn & Donnacha, sons-in-law Marty & James, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, many cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends. Rest In Peace.

    Reposing at McHugh's Funeral Home, Strokestown, on Wednesday, December 4 from 5pm until 7pm. Removal from the family home on Thursday, December 5 to St. Mary's Church, Carniska, to arrive for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Strokestown Cemetery.
