Brendan Kelly, Ballyclimay, Forgney, Ballymahon, Longford

The death occurred peacefully at his residence on Sunday, October 27, 2024 of Brendan Kelly Ballyclimay, Forgney, Ballymahon, Co Longford. 

Predeceased by his brothers Matt and Hughie, sister Maisie, and Ger. Sadly missed by his loving daughter Cassandra, son Ray, partner Eileen, sister Imelda, brother Mike, grandchildren Isla, Oisín and Finian, daughter-in-law Amy, son-in-law Daniel, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Rest in peace.

Brendan will repose this Wednesday, October 30 at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Forgney, N91 AE35, from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass is Thursday, October 31 at noon with burial in adjoining cemetery.

Matthew (Matt) Molloy, Crois Bóthar, Drumlish, Longford

The death occurred peacefully in Midlands Regional Hospital Mullingar on Monday, October 28, 2024 of Matthew (Matt) Molloy, Crois Bóthar, Drumlish, Longford. Predeceased by his father Matty, mother Margaret (Maggie), brothers Tommy and Benny, sister Maura and sister-in-law. Matt will be remembered by his brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends. May Matt Rest in Peace. 

Reposing at Glennon's Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road, Co Longford (N39 EC81) this Wednesday, October 30 from 6pm concluding with prayers at 7pm. Bridget (Bridie) Doyle (née McGee), Dublin Street, Longford Town, Co Longford

The death occurred peacefully at Nazareth House, Sligo in her 96th year on Monday, October 28, 2024 of Bridget (Bridie) Doyle (nee McGee), Dublin Street, Longford town.

Predeceased by her husband Hughie, son James, daughter-in-law Marion and siblings Tom, Peter, Sean, Kathleen and Elizabeth. Bridie will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her daughters Mary and Helen, son-in-law Paul, daughter-in-law Lily, grandchildren Brian, Peadar, Megan, Ciaran, Sean, Brian’s partner Tina, niece Maureen, relatives and good friends. May she rest in peace.

Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road (N39 EC81) on Friday, November 1 from 6pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Phil Hanley (née Murphy), Barnacor, Lanesboro, Longford / Colehill, Longford

The death occurred peacefully surrounded by her loving son Raymond and extended family, in the wonderful care of the staff of the Midlands Regional Hospital, Mullingar on Sunday, October 27, 2024 of Phil Hanley (nee Murphy), Barnacor, Lanesboro, Co Longford, formerly from Kilnacarrow, Colehill, Co Longford.  

Predeceased by her husband Ned and her parents Rose & John Murphy, also her brothers and sisters. Deeply missed by her only son Raymond, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends. May Phil Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Farrell’s Funeral Home, Lanesboro (N39 E761) on Wednesday, October 30 from 6pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday, October 31 in St Mary's Church, Lanesboro at 12 noon. Michael (Mike) Hanley, Cashelbeg, Lanesboro, Longford

The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and in the wonderful care of the staff of the Midlands Regional Hospital, Mullingar on Saturday, October 26 of Michael (Mike) Hanley, Cashelbeg, Lanesboro, Longford. Predeceased by his father Edward, mother Mary, brothers Gerry & Ned, sisters Mary & Margaret.

Deeply missed by his beloved wife Eileen, son Michael and daughters Siobhan and Marie, his adored grandchildren Ryan, Ellie Mai, Kevin, Conor, Emma, Shay, Darragh, Jamie and Brodie, his brothers Johnny, Jimmy & Paddy, his sisters Francis, Kathy & Annie, daughter in law Una, sons in law Brian & Shawn, nieces, nephews, sisters in law, brothers in law, wonderful friends, neighbours and relatives. May Michael Rest in Peace.

Reposing at his son Michael's home, Cashelbeg, Lanesboro (N39K7K3) on Monday, October 28 from 3pm to 9pm with prayers at 8pm. Removal on Tuesday, October 29 to St Mary's Church, Lanesboro arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Rathcline Cemetery. Andrew Downes, St Edna's Ward, Mullingar, Westmeath / Longford

The death occurred peacefully in the excellent care of the staff and nurses at St Edna's, after a short illness, bravely borne with great courage and dignity on Thursday, October 24 of Andrew Downes, St Edna's Ward, Mullingar, Westmeath and formerly of Sunnyside, Lisnamuck, Co Longford. Predeceased by his parents Thomas (Mossie) and Annie (Nancy) and his brother Noel. Andrew will be dearly missed and forever remembered by his sister Patricia and brother Tommy, brother-in-law Phil, sister-in-law Vera, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, Aunt Bridie and his extended family. May Andrew's gentle soul rest in peace. 

Reposing at the chapel at Cluain Lir Care Centre, Mullingar, on Tuesday October 29, from 10am with Requiem Mass at 11am, followed immediately afterwards by burial in Ballymacormack Cemetery, Co Longford.

Tommy Fox, Garnafailagh, Athlone, Westmeath

The death occurred peacefully surrounded by his loving family in his 79th year on Sunday, October 27, 2024 of Tommy Fox, Garnafailagh, Athlone, Co Westmeath & formerly of The Pigeons, Tang, Co Westmeath.

Survived by wife Pat and sons Morgan, Keith, Damien, Robbie, Alan and Mark. Daughters in law Maria, Helen, Louise, Chara, Orna and Amy. Grandchildren Dylan, Farah, Ella, Jake, Keelan, Emily, Jessica and Theo. Sister Eithne. Brothers Joe, Vincent and Liam, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends. May He Rest In Peace.

Reposing at his residence (Garnafailagh, Athlone, N37 R9A0) on Tuesday, October 29 from 3pm until 8pm.

Requiem Mass on Wednesday, October 30 at 12 noon in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Coosan followed by burial afterwards in Coosan Cemetery. The family greatly appreciates your sympathy and support at this very sad time.

Conor Patrick McDermott, Ankerland Fore, Castlepollard, Westmeath

The death occurred peacefully at Bethany House Nursing Home Tyrrellspass, Co Westmeath surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, October 26, 2024 of Conor Patrick McDermott, Ankerland Fore, Castlepollard, Co Westmeath.

Predeceased by his parents James and Anna Mary, brother John, sisters Rose and Millie. Sadly missed by his daughters Eiméar and Bróna and their mother Sheila, brothers Frank, Michael and Seamus, sisters Tessa and Marie, son-in-law Ben, and Bróna's partner Matt, grandchildren Rían and Méabh, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at Lorcan O'Brien & Son Funeral Home, Tyrrellspass, Co Westmeath (N91W422) Tuesday evening October 29 from 5pm - 7pm rosary at 7pm. John (Johnny) Foley, Clarehall, Dublin/ Edgeworthstown, Longford

The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and in the wonderful care of staff at St Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown on Thursday, October 24 of John (Johnny) Foley,  Edgeworthstown and formerly of Clarehall, Dublin. 

Loving son of the late John and Mary. Beloved father of Maria, Anthony and Gary, adored grandad of Leo, Sadie, Jamie, Caoimhe and Oliver. John will be very sadly missed by his sons and daughter, son-in-law, David daughter-in-law, Natalie, grandchildren, brother Con and sisters, Margaret, Anne, Theresa and the late Catherine, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours. "May his gentle soul rest in peace."

Reposing at Jennings Funeral Home, Oscar Traynor Road, Coolock, D17FK58 on Monday afternoon October 28 from 2pm to 4pm.
