Bridget Dennigan (née Tully) Teffia Park, Longford Town, Co Longford

The death occurred peacefully in the loving care of the staff of Sunset Lodge on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 of Bridget Dennigan (nee Tully) Teffia Park, Longford town. Predeceased by her parents Peter and Roseanne, husband Patrick and by her sister Monica. Bridget will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, daughters Anne Donlon (Ardagh), Rose (Mayo), sons Peter (U.S.A), Patrick (Longford), Bernard (Galway) and Thomas (Limerick), sisters Margaret Gregg, Mary O’Neill, Teresa Jordan and her twin sister Kathleen Tully, son-in-law Frank, daughters-in-law Helen and Catherine, Rose’s partner Adrian, Peter’s partner Jenny, grandchildren Danny, Andrew, Brian, Sean, Liam, Ailish, Maeve, Saoirse, Levon, Khoren, Emmet, Mark, Aoife, Aisling and Cillian, great-grandchild Jack, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. May she rest in peace.

Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road (N39 EC81) on Wednesday, May 8 from 4pm concluding with prayers at 6pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Thursday, May 9 in St Mel’s Cathedral at 11am, interment afterwards in Ballymacormack Cemetery. The Funeral Mass will be streamed live, please go to www.longfordparish.com

Ann Joyce (née O'Leary) Padraic Colum Heights, Longford Town, Co Longford

The death occurred peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 of Ann Joyce (nee O'Leary), Padraic Colum Heights, Longford town. Predeceased by her husband John, son Christy and by her grandson Willie. Ann will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, daughters Mary, Maggie, Ann and Helen, sons Joe, John, David, Willie, Bernard, Eddie and James, sisters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. May she rest in peace.

Reposing at her home all day on Thursday, May 9. Mass of the Resurrection on Friday, May 10 in St. Mel’s Cathedral at 1.00pm. Interment afterwards in Ballymacormack Cemetery. The Funeral Mass will be streamed live, please go to www.longfordparish.com

Eileen O'Kane (née Keenan) Drumeel, Ballinalee, Co Longford formerly of Ardagh

The death occurred peacefully, at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, after a long illness, bravely borne of Eileen O'Kane (nee Keenan), Drumeel, Ballinalee, Co Longford and formerly of Ardagh. Predeceased by her beloved husband Denis, daughters Mary and Denise, brother PJ, sisters Nancy and Babs and her adored grandsons Patrick and Mel. Eileen will be forever missed and always remembered with love by her family, daughters Carmel, Martina and Francis, son Kevin, daughter-in-law, sons-in-law and her daughter's partner, her beloved 11 grandchildren, sisters Maureen Rooney (Abbeyshrule) and Nuala Hartnet (Dublin), nieces, nephews, relatives, carers, neighbours and good friends. Always in our thoughts, forever in our hearts. Rest in Peace.

Reposing in Connell's Funeral Home, Church Street, Longford N39 KN66 on Thursday, May 9 from 6pm concluding with prayers at 7.30pm. Funeral Mass on Friday, May 10 at 2pm in St. James's Church, Clonbroney, Ballinalee, followed with Cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Rd, Cavan for family only. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to Alzheimer's Society Ireland c/o Connell Funeral Directors or any family member. Family home private at all times please.

Mary Sawyer (née Clabby), Lymm, Cheshire, England and formerly Fisherstown, Clondra, Longford

The recent death has occurred peacefully in the loving care of Keate House Nursing Home, Lymm, surrounded by her adored children daughter Sharon, son Stephen, her Grandson Stan, son in law Simon and daughter in law Jane of Mary Sawyer (nee Clabby) late of Lymm, Cheshire, England and formerly Fisherstown, Clondra, Longford.

Predeceased by her loving husband Tom, parents Thomas and Nora. Sadly missed by her sisters Kathleen and Nora, nieces Shirley, Sarah, Elaine and Anita, and nephews Mark and David, brother in law Pat and many friends in Ireland and the UK. 

Mary's funeral mass will take place in Cheshire, England and there will be a memorial mass at a later date in Clondra, Longford.

Sean (John) Browne, Shannagh Grove, Mohill, Co Leitrim

The death occurred at his home at Shannagh Grove, Mohill with his heartbroken family by his side on Sunday, May 5, 2024 of Sean (John) Browne, Mohill, Co Leitrim. Beloved husband of Lorraine, much loved father of Simone and Karl, adored grandfather of Jason, Carla, Mochara, Cahir and Croía. Sean will be deeply mourned and sadly missed by his loving wife, daughter and son, his mother; Jane, sisters; Rebecca, Niamh and Clara, brother; Gavan. His grandchildren; Jason, Carla, Mochara, Cahir and Croía, son-in-law; Anthony Egan and daughter-in-law; Linda McKenna., sisters-in-law; Julie, Alison and Karen., brothers-in-law; Jimmy Bannigan, Sean Quinn, David Clyne and Brian Conboy, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and Barney, the extended Browne and Conboy families and so many great neighbours and wonderful friends. “As you were, you will always be Treasured forever in our memory”.

James Edward O'Connor, Aughnagallop, Drumshanbo, Leitrim

Please pray for the happy repose of the soul of James Edward O'Connor, Aughnagallop, Drumshanbo, Co. Leitrim, James passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. Predeceased by his Aunt Martina O'Brien (née O'Connor), grandparents Sonny and Julianna O'Connor and Isey Mulvin. Much loved darling son of John and Liz (née Mulvin), loved and adored by his sister Emily. James will be very sadly missed by his devastated father, mother, sister, grandad Stan, aunts, uncles, and cousins, his many friends, relatives and good neighbours. Safe In The Arms Of Jesus. May James Rest In Eternal Peace.

House private to family and neighbours on Wednesday, May 8. James will repose at his home on Thursday, May 9, from 3pm to 8pm - all welcome. Catherine Cribbens (née Devine) Keston, Kent, England and Barrack Street, Granard, Longford

The death occurred after a short illness on Friday, May 3, 2024 of Catherine Cribbens (nee Devine) Keston, Kent, England and formerly of Barrack Street, Granard Co. Longford. Predeceased by her husband Frank, son Timothy and sister Margaret Boyce. Sadly missed by her sons Nicholas, Jonathan and Simon, her brother James Devine, Mullingar and her sister Anne Donohoe, Creevey, Granard, her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The death occurred on Saturday, May 4, 2024 of Bernard Keane, St Brigid's Court, St Brigid's Drive, Clontarf West, Dublin 5, and formerly of Ballinamore Rd, Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim. Predeceased by his parents James and Kathleen and his sisters Carmel and Marese. He will be sadly missed by his brothers John (Jersey), Seamus and Joe (Drumshanbo), Paul (Leitrim Village), and his sisters Anne (Ballinamore), Teresa and Bernadette (Dublin), and Majella (Portugal). He will also be missed by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, and a large circle of friends. Rest In Peace.

Reposing at Shivnan's Funeral Home, Ballyfarnon, on Friday, May 10 from 5pm to 7pm, followed by removal to St Patrick's Church, Drumshanbo, to arrive at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday, May, 11 at 11am, followed by burial in the New Cemetery. Funeral Mass will be streamed live on https://www.churchtv.ie/drumshanbo/ and on Drumshanbo Parish Facebook Page.
