The death occurred, peacefully in the loving care of the nurses and staff of Laurel Lodge Nursing Home, on Friday, February 23, 2024 of Mary McCann (née Flynn) formerly Donlon, Shroid, Longford. Predeceased by her parents, sisters, brothers, by Jim McCann and Anthony Donlon, son Gerry, grandsons Stephen, Aiden, Rory and Gerard. Mary will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, daughters Mary, Caroline and Anita, sister Tess, brother Bernard, daughter-in-law Stephanie, sons-in-law, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. May she rest in peace.
Reposing at Laurel Lodge Nursing Home Chapel (N39 XE92) on Monday, February 26 from 6pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Mass of The Resurrection also in Laurel Lodge Chapel on Tuesday, February 27 at 11am, interment afterwards in Ardagh cemetery.

Nora Bernard (née Rennick), Clybaun Heights, Knocknacarra, Galway / Longford Town, Longford

The death occurred, unexpectedly at University Hospital Galway, on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 of Nora Bernard (née Rennick), Clybaun Heights, Knocknacarra, Galway and formerly of Longford Town, Longford. Predeceased by her beloved husband Jack, her sisters Ruth, Lou and Vera and her brothers Tom and Noel. Deeply mourned and very sadly missed by her loving daughters Iris and Mary, her goddaughter Mary, her sister Beatrice, son-in-law Robert, grandsons Danny and Conor, nieces, nephews, relatives and her many, many neighbours and friends.
Nora will repose in St. Anthony’s Room, within the Church of St. John the Apostle, Knocknacarra, Galway on Monday, February 26, 2024 from 5.30pm to 7pm. Removal after to the church. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Nora on Tuesday, February 27 at 12 noon. The death occurred on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 of Aidan Joyce, Pauric Colum Heights, Longford. Predeceased by his father John, brother Alan, nephew Willie and other extended family.
