The death occurred, peacefully, in her 103rd year, at her son and daughter in law's home Michael and Treasa Brady, on Monday, January 15, 2024 of Bridget (Bridie) Brady (née Mulligan), Purth, Ballinroey, Dring, Longford. Predeceased by her loving husband Jimmy and daughter Nuala. Sadly missed and always remembered by her sons Michael and Seamus, daughters Cait and Ann, daughters in-law Treasa and Joan, son in-law Brian, nephews, nieces, grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, relatives, neighbours and friends. Many Thanks to her long term carers Philomena, Nina, Kelly and Marie.
Reposing at the Manor Nursing Home Chapel, Edgeworthstown on Wednesday, January 17 from 5pm - 8pm. Funeral Mass in St Joseph's Church, Purth, Dring, Co Longford on Thursday, January 18 at 11am with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Funeral Mass can be viewed HERE

Richard (Richie) Quinn, Camlin Meadows and Farneyhoogan , Longford Town, Longford

The death occurred peacefully on Saturday, January 13, 2024 of Richard (Richie) Quinn, Camlin Meadows and Farneyhoogan, Longford town.  Predeceased by his father Michael and by his nephew Cian. Richard will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, beloved mother Mary, sister Evelyn, brothers Joe, Graham and Gavin, sister-in-law Marta, brother-in-law Enda, nieces, nephew, relatives and friends. The death occurred peacefully in his 95th year in the loving care of the staff of Sunset lodge, St Joseph's Longford on Monday, January 15, 2024 of Harry Burke, Barne, Edgeworthstown, Co Longford. Predeceased by his father Harry and mother Mary. Harry will be sadly missed by his many cousins, especially Ann and family, His many close friends and neighbours. May Harry Rest In Peace.
Harry will repose at the Manor Nursing Home, Edgeworthstown on Tuesday evening, January 16 from 5pm concluding with prayers at 7pm. Funeral mass was on Wednesday morning, January 17 at 11am in the Manor Chapel. Harry will be laid to rest in Aughfin Cemetery.

Kathleen (Kitty) Conway (née Dowd) No.2 Templemichael Terrace, Longford Town, Longford

The death occurred peacefully, in the care of the wonderful staff at The Regional Hospital, Tullamore on Thursday, January 11, 2024 of Kathleen (Kitty) Conway, (née Dowd) in her 97th year. Predeceased by husband Peter, parents John and Mary Ann Dowd, her brothers John, Tommy, Seamus and Denis, sisters Mary (Aherne) and Peggy (McMonagle), nieces and nephews. Kitty will be sadly missed by and remembered by her nieces, nephews, grandnephews and grandnieces, great-grandnephews, great-grandnieces, relatives, very good neighbours and friends. May She Rest In Peace.
Reposing at Kelly’s Funeral Directors, Athlone Road, Longford (N39 K381) this Tuesday, January 16 from 4pm concluding with prayers at 5.20pm, followed by removal to St Mel’s Cathedral, Longford arriving at 6pm.

Rita Maloney (née Igoe) Cloncullen, Ballymahon, Co Longford

The death occurred peacefully in the loving care of the staff at Thomond Lodge Nursing Home surrounded by her family in her 91st year on Sunday, January 14, 2024 of Rita Maloney (nee Igoe) Cloncullen, Ballymahon, Co Longford. Predeceased by her husband Jack, her parents and her brothers Fr John, Fr Pat and Dan. Cherished mother of John (Shirley), Marion (Kevin), Ena (Stuart) USA, Joan (Martin) Australia, Pauline (Michael), Rita (Sean), Regina (Seamus), Padraig (Gemma), Gerard (Niamh). Loving Granny to her twenty four grandchildren and Great Granny to Eleanor and Jessica. Sadly missed by her sisters in law Phyllis Dunne and Annie Jo Igoe, her nieces and nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours. Rest in Peace.

The death occurred peacefully at the Regional Hospital Tullamore, with her family by her side on Thursday, January 11, 2024 of Marie Sakajto (nee Sliskova), Prospect Woods, Longford and formerly of the Czech Republic. Marie will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, husband Julius, daughters Drahomira and Helena, son Josef, brothers Vojka, Miki and Milan, grandchildren Radek, Sylvie, Robert, Vojtech, Carolina, Denis and Peter, relatives and friends. The death occurred unexpectedly in Hull, North Yorkshire on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 of Geoffrey (Geoff) R Smith, Kiltycreevagh, Ballinamuck, Co. Longford (formerly of Liverpool, England). Predeceased by his wonderful parents Marjorie and George, parents-in-law Lizzy and Fintan Morris.
Geoff will be sadly missed by his heartbroken wife Brenda, his cherished son Daniel, partner Beth and his baby grandson George, who was born on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. His beloved sisters Elaine and Janet, his brothers-in-law Alan, Mark, Willie, Colm, Sean (Morris), Sean (Browne), John and Fintan, sisters-in-law Marian, Teresa, Helen and Elizabeth. his Aunts-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephew. The death occurred peacefully in the tender care of the staff of the Ballinderry Nursing Home, Kilconnell on Monday, January 15, 2024 of Sr Patricius Quine, Dun Mhuire, Lyster Street, Athlone, Westmeath/ Athlone, Roscommon and formerly of Oran, Co Roscommon and Convent of Mercy, Strokestown.  
Predeceased by her parents James and Catherine, her brother Michael and sister-in-law Agnes. Lovingly remembered by her nephew Francis, nieces Cathy and Michelle, niece in law, Mary, nephew in law, John, treasured grandniece Emma and grandnephew Jamie, relatives, friends, teaching colleagues and the Sisters of Mercy Western Province.

The death occurred peacefully at the Mater Hospital on Friday, January 12, 2024 of Margaret (Rita) McGreevy (née Moore), Dublin and formerly of Portarlington, Co Laois.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Joe (formerly of Farnbeg, Strokestown, Co Roscommon) and her parents Peter and Nora. Rita will be sadly missed by her sisters-in-law Susan and Peggy, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives and friends. May She Rest in Peace.
Removal from the Mater Hospital on Tuesday, January 16 after prayers at 2.30pm, to arrive at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Strokestown for 7pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday, January 17 at 11am, with burial afterwards in the New Cemetery, Strokestown.

The death occurred suddenly, at Cavan General Hospital, aged 67 years, on Sunday, January 14, 2024 of Kevin McCabe, Drumsilla, Carrigallen, Leitrim. Beloved husband of Monica, father of Sharon, Marina and Declan and beloved grandfather. Sadly missed by his sisters, Rita, Ann, Bernadette, Una, Maureen, Beatrice, nieces, nephews and extended family. 
Reposing at family home at Drumsilla on Wednesday, January 17 from 4 pm to 8pm. A shuttle bus service will be operating from Cornmill Theatre, Carrigallen during reposing times. Removal to Saint Mary's Church, Carrigallen on Thursday, January 18 for 12 noon Funeral Mass followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.

Alan Fletcher, Lohunda Park, Clonsilla, Dublin / Leitrim Village, Co Leitrim

The death occurred peacefully surrounded by his family, at Beaumont Hospital, following a tragic road accident on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 of Alan Fletcher Leitrim Village, Co Leitrim and formerly of Lohunda Park, Clonsilla, Dublin 15. Alan, beloved husband of Bernie, dear father of Amy, Owen and Lisa and a devoted grandfather of Adam and Hannah; Sadly missed by his loving wife, son, daughters, grandchildren, son-in-law Adrian, Ricardo, brother Paul, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The death occurred peacefully at Kings College Hospital, London on Thursday, January 4, 2024 of Bernadette (Bernie) Youngs (nee Cusack), London and formerly of Garrymore, Ballinagh, Co Cavan. Predeceased by her husband Martin Youngs. Much loved mother of Shane and Siobhan Youngs. Sadly missed by her granddaughter Erin Youngs, her brother Owen Cusack and sisters Kathleen Coyle, Agnes O’Connor, Rose O’Shea and Frances Foy, her nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Reposing in St Mary of the Crays Church, Crayford on Wednesday, January 31 from 5pm to 8pm. Funeral service at 10:30am on Thursday, February 1 followed by cremation at Eltham Crematorium at 12:30.
