The death occurred peacefully, following a short illness, in the tender care of the nurses and staff at Portiuncula Nursing Home, Multyfarnham, with his heartbroken family by his side on Monday, October 16, 2023 of Mel Corrigan, Enniscoffey, Gaybrook, Mullingar, Co Westmeath and formerly Caramana, Longford. Predeceased by his parents JohnJoe and Annie, brother Pat, sisters Mary, Kathleen and Anne. He will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his devoted wife and best friend Betty, daughters Amanda (McGee) and Linda (Maine), son David, sons-in-law Finbarr and Dave, daughter-in-law Edel, his cherished and adored grandchildren Nicola, Ciara, Grace, Jack, Eve, Abbey, Holly and his great-grandchildren Fionn, Dáire and Cuan, sisters Eileen McLoughlin (UK) and Frances Murray (Ballinasloe), brother-in-law Eamonn, sister-in-law Kathleen, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, wonderful neighbours and a wide circle of friends. May Mel's Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.
Reposing at his home (N91 E6W9) on Thursday, October 19 from 4.30pm until 7pm. Funeral Mass on Friday, October 20 at 11am in St Joseph's Church, Milltownpass with burial afterwards in the local cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to Portiuncula Nursing Home. Donation box at the house. House strictly private on Friday morning please.

The death occurred peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, October 14, 2023 of John Donnelly, Arva, Cavan/ Longford. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Bridget, his infant brother Michael, his sister Mary, brothers in law Danny, Tony and Paddy. John will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, wife Alice, daughters Rosemarie, Oona, Eimear and son Sean, sister Angela, his much-adored grandchildren Lauren, Alan, Barry, Ronan and Evanne, daughter in law Claire, sons in law Seamus and Gerry, sisters in law Maura and Nora, brothers in law Chris and Dave, cousins, nieces and nephews, and his extended family and a large circle of neighbours and friends. Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral home, Ballinalee Road, Longford (N39 EC81) on Tuesday, October 17 from 5pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Removal from his home on Wednesday, October 18 to arrive at The Sacred Heart Church, Arva, for Requiem Mass at 11am, followed by cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan, at 2pm. The death occurred peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital on Saturday, October 14, 2023 of Veronica (Vee) Cannings (nee Nolan) Cooleen, Loch Gowna, Co Cavan. Predeceased by her sister Deirdre. Veronica will be sadly missed and always remembered by her loving family, husband Alan, daughter Jessica, her adored granddaughter Veronica (Nica), sisters Teresa and Jenny, brothers David and Gary, step-children Jacqui and Stuart, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours.
