The death occurred peacefully at home after a long illness surrounded by her adored family on Monday, September 25, 2023 of Kathleen Reynolds (nee Gilna), Aughalough, Aughavas, Co Leitrim and late of Soran, Ballinalee, Co Longford. Predeceased by her father Frank and brother Hugh. Loving wife of Anthony, devoted mother to Alan and Lisa. Kathleen will be sadly missed by her husband and children, her dear mother Mary Josephine, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. May Kathleen Rest In Peace.
Reposing at Smith's Funeral Home, High Street, Ballinamore on Tuesday, September 26 from 5pm to 8pm. Funeral mass on Wednesday, September 27 at 12 noon in St Joseph's Church, Aughavas followed by burial in the local cemetery. Family flowers only donations in lieu to the Irish Cancer Society c/o McKeon's Funeral Directors, Cloone.

The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by her family at Marymount Care Centre, Westmanstown on Saturday, September 23, 2023 of Rose Kenna (née Conefrey), Castleknock, Dublin 15 and formerly of Camagh, Co Longford.
Beloved wife of the late Dominic and cherished and much loved mother of Dominic, Sean, Anthony, Mary, Raymond, Declan, Helena, Fiona, Aidan and the late Paul. Rose will be sadly missed by her loving sons, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, sisters Bridie and Kate, brother-in-law Barney, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

The death occurred peacefully after a long illness borne with great dignity, in the loving care of the nurses and staff of the Midland’s Regional Hospital, Mullingar on Saturday, September 23, 2023 of Michael Donegan, Lisnabo, Newtownforbes, Longford. Pre-deceased by his parents and by his brother Paddy. Michael will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, his wife Patricia, son Michael Joseph, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends. May he rest in peace.
Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road (N39 EC81) on Monday, September 25 from 6pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Tuesday, September 26 in St Mary’s Church,  Newtownforbes at 12 noon, interment afterwards in Newtownforbes Cemetery. The death occurred after a long illness bravely borne on Thursday, September 21, 2023 of Seamus McMonagle, College Park, Longford Town, Longford. Predeceased by his parents Margaret and John, brothers Terry, Garry and Denis and sister Mary. Seamus will be missed by his son Alan, daughters Aisling, Louise and Ruth, their mother Jean and by his grandson Oisín, daughters-in-law Fionnuala and Tina, brothers Seán and Edward, sisters Margaret and Laura, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, Aunty Kitty, cousins, relatives and friends. Reposing at Kelly's Funeral Home, Athlone Road, Longford N39 K381 Monday evening September 25 from 5pm until 7pm. Private burial service will take place on Tuesday, September 26. The death occurred peacefully in the care of the wonderful nursing staff at Sligo University Hospital on Sunday, September 24, 2023 of Padraigín (Patsy) Hannigan, Egergole, Cloone, Co Leitrim.
Predeceased by her partner Eric Taylor. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her family and a large circle of friends.
A celebration of Padraigín’s life will be held at Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan (Eircode H12 RF78) at 5pm on Tuesday, September 26. The family appreciates your support and understanding at this time.

Annette Lynam (née Sheerin) Kilronan, Ballyfarnon, Roscommon


The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by her loving and devoted family and in the tender care of the staff at Drumderrig Nursing Home, Boyle on Sunday, September 24, 2023 of Annette Lynam (née Sheerin) Kilronan, Ballyfarnon, Boyle, Co Roscommon.
Predeceased by her parents Joe and Kathleen, her beloved son Adrian, grandson Cian and recently deceased husband Tommy. Annette will be sadly missed by her loving daughter Caroline (Bruen), sons Gerard and Raymond, daughters-in-law, Carmel and Fiona, son-in-law Michael, her adored grandchildren Cormac, Rory, Finian, Ciara, Tom, Oisín, Shaun, Ellie and Ronan sisters Pam Shivnen (Mohill), Marie Taylor (Monasteraden), sisters-in-law brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, friends and neighbours. “May Annette’s gentle soul rest in peace”.

Reposing at her son's residence Water Street, Castlepollard N91 XT89 on Monday, September 25 from 4pm until 7pm. House strictly private thereafter. Removal to St. Michael's Church, Castlepollard on Tuesday, September 26 for 11am funeral Mass, burial afterwards to the adjoining cemetery. The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, Palliative Care Team and staff at Mullingar, Midlands Regional Hospital, and all her carers, for their continued care and support of Mary throughout her short illness.

The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by his devoted family and in the tender care of the staff at North West Hospice, Sligo on Saturday, September 23, 2023 of James (Jim) Murray Drumhierny, Leitrim Village, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Leitrim and formerly Derrygraw, Cootehall, Co Roscommon.
Predeceased by his parents Patrick, Mary and sister Veronica. Jim will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Maureen, daughters Caroline and Patricia, grandchildren Lauren and James, son-in-law Vincent, brother Timmy, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, wonderful neighbours and his wide circle of friends. The death occurred suddenly but peacefully in Birmingham on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 of Peter John Canavan, Lywttleton, Stechford, Birmingham, England and, Cavan. Predeceased by his parents Christina (nee Coyle) and Paul, daughter Rachel, sisters Kathleen, Mary and brother Noel. Sadly missed by his sons Anthony and Sean, sisters Christina (Cynthia) and Pauline, brothers James and his twin Paul, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, the extended O'Reilly, Dawson and Smyth families in Ireland and England, relatives and a wide circle of friends. The death occurred peacefully at his home in Florida on Monday, September 4 of Brinsley P Matthews, Crover, Lough Sheelin, Cavan and Palm Beach, Florida. Brinsley (Paul) son of the late Vincent and Anita Matthews, Crover. Sadly missed by his sister Linda and his brothers Maurice, Ronan, Vincent, Alan, Denis and Damien. Rest In Peace.
