The death occurred suddenly on Thursday, August 31, 2023 of Br Daniel Patrick Carlin, De La Salle Brothers, Castletown, Laois / Longford and Saint Joseph School, Addis Ababa. Predeceased by his parents Freddie and Mary. Deeply regretted by his brother Laurence, niece Siobhan, and cousins in Derry, London and Longford, parents, teachers and pupils St. Joseph School and especially by his confreres in Ethiopia, District of Lwanga Africa and the District of Ireland, Great Britain and Malta.

Predeceased by her loving husband Patrick, brothers Kevin and Harry. Vincent & Elizabeth Tierney, Granard, Longford / Killoe, Longford
The deaths have occured of Vincent & Elizabeth Tierney, 39 School Lane, Kettering North Hants NN16 0DH. Elizabeth, on August 14, 2023 and her husband Vincent, on August 31, both surrounded by their loving family. Elizabeth aged 97 (nee Campbell) late of Aughaboy Killoe, Co.Longford and her husband Vincent aged 93 of Main Street Granard, Co Longford. Elizabeth & Vincent will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by their sons Vincent, Val and Laur. Daughters Helen and Elaine. Sons in law, daughters in law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren. Elizabeth's brother John Campbell and his wife Kathleen. Vincent's sister in law Mary Tierney (Buttlersbridge). Nephews, nieces and a large circle of friends.
A Joint Funeral has been arranged for Thursday, September 7 at 11am in St Edward's Church, Kettering with removals previous evening at 4pm.
Following cremation Elizabeth & Vincent will return to Granard with Mass at St Mary's Church, Granard to celebrate their wonderful, happy lives and burial afterwards to the Tierney family grave at Granardkille old cemetery.

Beloved wife of Eamonn and adoring mother of Cian, Eavan and son-in- law Shane, Mary is predeceased by her parents, Michael and Teresa Hand (Ardmullen) and her brother, Det. Gda Frank Hand (Lucan).
Sadly missed by her sisters, Teresa Hand-Campbell (The Glebe, Kiltoom) and Breda Hand (Fardrum, Athlone), her brothers Michael Hand (Rathfarnham), John Hand (Navan) and Eugene Hand (Brideswell), sisters-in law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and a wide circle of friends and colleagues at Coláiste Chiáráin/St. Joseph’s College Summerhill and Convent of Mercy, Granard where she inspired, informed and influenced generations of young students. Her distinctive trademark of total commitment and genuine dedication is the hallmark of her unique character and personality.
