The death occurred, peacefully, on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 of Lily Gilchrist (née Kelly), Ferefad, Longford Town, Longford. Predeceased by her parents Martin and Nora, sisters Mai Arney and Tessie Emmett and by her beloved husband John. Lily will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, daughters Niamh Hallissy (Clane, Co.Kildare), Lorna Gilchrist (Carlow) and Sinead Gibson (Hillsborough, Co.Down), son John (Galway), daughter-in-law Geraldine, sons-in-law Michael, Seamus and Colin, sisters Nuala McKenna (Boyle) and Helen Horan (Boyle), brothers Pat (Boyle) and Joe (U.K.), grandchildren Caoilfhionn , Rossa, Lilianne and Noah, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road (N39 EC81) on Friday, September 1 from 6pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. The death occurred suddenly in St Vincent’s Hospital, Dublin on Sunday, August 27, 2023 of Micheál Clarke, No 1 Denniston Park, Granard, Co Longford and formerly of Castlenugent, Lisryan. He is predeceased by his parents Michael and Kathleen, sister Catherine, brother James and partner Kitty. Micheal will be sadly missed by his children Micheal, Robert and Lorraine, their mother Margaret, brothers Pauric, Peter and Anthony,sister-in-law Vera, his adored grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours and friends. Reposing on Wednesday, August 30 in Our Lady's Manor Nursing Home Chapel, Edgeworthstown, from 5pm to 7.30pm with prayers at 6.30pm. Funeral cortege will arrive at St Mary's Church, Granard, on Thursday, August 31 for funeral mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Granardkill Cemetery. Predeceased by his much loved wife Patricia, his brother Don, and his parents Agatha and Frank. Padraig will be deeply missed by his children Anthony, Padraig Óg, John, Charles, Mary Ann and Andrea, his sons-in-law Kieran and Gerry, and his daughters-in-law Aoife and Evelyn, and also his sisters Laura, Stella and Angela. The death occurred, peacefully, in his 99th year in the company of his loving family and in the tender care of the staff at Portiuncula Nursing Home, Multyfarnham, on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 of John Nolan - Donore, Multyfarnham, Co Westmeath and late of Ballyheeragh, Co Mayo. Predeceased by his beloved wife Philomena, son Michael, daughter Mary, granddaughter Lorraine and great-granddaughter Eirin.
John will be very sadly missed and always remembered by his children Kevin, Anne, Margaret, Seán, Geraldine, Denis and Angela, his dear grandchildren and great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, brother Michael, sisters Nora (Tierney) and Anne (Casey), sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends. The death occurred peacefully in the caring hands of the staff of Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, surrounded by family on Saturday, August 26, 2023 of Cyril Mulvey, Aughagrania, Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim.
Son of the late Michael Anthony and Bridget. Predeceased by his loving son Colm, his cherished granddaughter Isla, and his beloved sisters, Eithne Smyth (Ballinamore) and Bernadette Keaney (Carrick-on-Shannon). Cyril will be greatly missed by his wife Sylvia (nee McHugh). A devoted and wonderful father of Ronan, Odette, Fergus, Gráinne, Emer and Tadhg. Fondly remembered by his sons-in-law and daughters-in-law, Dáire, Colin, Gerry, Mary Ann and Michelle. Adored granddad to Niamh and Justin, Ciara and Seán, Ava and Edie, Ciarán, Leah and Ríain, Donnacha, Maia and Faolán. Forever missed by his brother Aiden, his sisters Ita, Angela, Stella and Carmel and his brothers-in-law and sister-in-law. Sadly missed by all his nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends. The death occurred, peacefully at the Midlands Regional Hospital Mullingar and previously in the exceptional care of Portiuncula Nursing Home, Multyfarnham, in his ninetieth year, on Saturday August 26, 2023 of John Coleman, Loughpark, Castlepollard, Westmeath. Predeceased by his son Sean. Deeply regretted by his wife Rose, daughter Marie (Belfast), son in law Peter, grandchildren Aoife and Niamh, brother Willie, sisters in law, nieces and nephews in Ireland and Australia and extended family. Predeceased by her husband Tom, her sister Eileen and her brothers Eddie and John Tom. Deeply regretted by her son James, Brisbane, Australia, her daughter, Patricia, Isle of Wight, daughter-in-law Robyn and son-in-law Billy, her brother James, Toronto, Canada, her sisters Patricia (Keegan), Kells and Roseanne, Longford, her sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces in Ireland and the US, and her very many friends and neighbours. Beloved wife of Francis (Frank). Devoted mother to Francis, Anthony and Paul. The death occurred, suddenly and unexpectedly after a short illness in London, on Thursday, August 17, 2023 of Gerry Dolan, Callanagh, London and Callanagh, Kilcogy. Predeceased by his parents Joe and Bonnie, his brother Martin and his nephew Marty. Sadly missed by his heartbroken brothers Seamus (Josie), Declan, John (Cathy), sisters Ann (Martin), Brid, Margaret (John), his devoted nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, cousins and special mention to his London colleagues and many friends at home and abroad.
