Michael (Mick) Campbell, Carpenterstown, Dublin / Finglas, Dublin / Abbeyshrule, Co Longford

The death occurred suddenly on Monday, August 7, 2023 of Michael (Mick) Campbell, Carpenterstown, Dublin and formerly of Finglas, Dublin and Abbeyshrule, Co Longford. Beloved husband and best friend of Deborah (Debbie), cherished father of Mark and Eimear, dear son-in-law of Mary and the late Tom and brother-in-law of the late Gareth Cullen. Sadly missed by his loving family, daughter-in-law Anna, Eimear’s partner James, Niall, Kenneth, Lindsey, Patsy, Jim, John, Gerard, Tommy, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. R.I.P.
Reposing at his home on both Wednesday, August 9 and Thursday evenings, August 10 from 5pm to 8pm. House private outside these hours. Removal to St Mochta’s Church, Porterstown, on Friday morning, August 11 arriving for Requiem Mass at 10am, followed by cremation in Glasnevin Crematorium. Mick’s Funeral Mass can be viewed online on Friday, August 11 and committal in Glasnevin Crematorium by following this LINK at 11.45am. Family flowers only, please. Donations, if desired, to Friends of St Lukes. “Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis”.

Mary Foley (née Donohoe) Edgeworthstown, Co Longford / Raheny, Dublin


The death occurred peacefully at home on Monday, August 7, 2023 of Mary Foley (née Donohoe), Edgeworthstown, Co. Longford, formerly of Kilbarrack Road, Raheny, Dublin, and her childhood home of Granard, Co Longford.
Mary was the much-loved wife of the late John Foley and the beloved mother of Catherine (deceased), Margaret, Con, John, Anne, and Theresa.  Adored grandmother of her 10 grandchildren, Michelle, Margaret, Francis, Maria, Anthony, Gary, Alison, Peter, Karen, and Ellen, and her 11 great-grandchildren, her sons-in-law Paul and Frank. Also remembering her daughter-in-law Antoinette at this time. Mary will be greatly missed by all her family. May She Rest in Peace.
Mary will repose in Our Lady’s Manor, Edgeworthstown on Wednesday, August 9 from 4pm to 6pm with prayers at 6pm. She will be removed to Frank Jennings Funeral Home, Greendale Road, Foxfield, Raheny, Dublin 5 to lie in repose on Thursday, August 10 at 3pm to 5pm and on Friday morning, August 11 from 9:30am to 11am. Removal to Our Lady of Divine Church, Raheny, arriving at 11:20 for 11:30 Funeral Mass. https://rahenyparish.ie/watch-us-live/ followed by burial in Fingal Cemetery.

Theresa Hogan, Garrycam, Ardagh, Co Longford


The death occurred peacefully, following a short illness bravely borne on Sunday, August 6, 2023 of Theresa Hogan, Garrycam, Ardagh, Co Longford. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Margaret, her sister Patricia and her brothers Jimmy, Bernie and Patrick Oliver. Sadly missed by her loving sisters Kathleen, Josie and Marie Clarke (Kilnaleck, Co. Cavan), her brothers Mick and Declan (Corboy), nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law Ann and Frances, brother-in-law Philip, neighbours, relatives and friends. Rest in peace.
Reposing at her home in Garrycam, privately to family, neighbours and friends, on Monday, August 7 from 6pm until 9pm and on Tuesday, August 8 from 2pm until 7pm. Removal on Wednesday, August 9 to St Anne's Church, Ballycloughan, arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Ardagh Cemetery. Family flowers only, please. Claire Conroy, Druminardly, Rooskey, Roscommon


The death occurred suddenly at her home on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 of Claire Conroy, Druminardly, Rooskey, Co Roscommon.  Loving daughter of PJ and Sarah (nee Giblin) and much loved sister of Patricia and Darren. Claire will be sadly missed by her heartbroken parents, brother and sister, uncles, aunt, cousins, neighbours, relatives and friends. Rest In Peace.
Reposing at McHugh's Funeral Home, Strokestown on Thursday, August 10 from 6pm until 8pm. Removal on Friday, August 11 to the Sacred Heart Church, Kilglass, to arrive for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Kilglass Cemetery. The family wishes to thank everyone for their support at this sad time.

Gerry McGee, Mohill, Leitrim


The death  occurred peacefully, in his 91st year, after a short illness, in Mullingar Regional Hospital, surrounded by his family on Tuesday August 8, 2023 of Gerry McGee, Mohill, Co Leitrim and formerly of Leitrim County Council.
Predeceased by his parents Peter and Annie, sister Nancy Flanagan and grandson Eoin Kellegher, Gerry is survived by his wife Anna, daughters and sons-in-law Ann Mulligan (Kevin), Fionnuala Sheehan (Mark), Gráinne Dunne (Ger), Clíodhna Kelleger (Paul) and Orla McKeon (Dermot), brothers Joe and Noel (USA), sister-in-law Mary McGee (USA), adored grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours. Always in our thoughts, Forever in our hearts. Rest in Peace Gerry.
Reposing in Connell's Funeral Home, Church Street, Longford, N39P0E8, on Thursday, August 10 from 6pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Private Cremation on Friday, August 11 (Family Only). Family flowers only, please, Donations, in lieu, to Palliative Care, Medical 1, Mullingar Regional Hospital, c/o Connell Funeral Directors or any family member. Funeral cortege will leave Connell's Funeral Home on Friday morning, August 11 traveling, via Gerry's home in Mohill, at approximately 11.30am on route to Lakelands Crematorium.

Brian Gunshinan, Aughamore, Mohill, Co Leitrim


The death occurred peacefully, in the loving care of his family, following a short illness bravely borne on Sunday, August 6, 2023 of Brian Gunshinan, Aughamore, Mohill, Co Leitrim. 
Predeceased by his parents John and Katie, brother Tommy & daughter Sharon. Sadly missed by his loving wife Marian, son Mel, daughter-in-law Yvonne, daughters Amanda and Dymphna and their partner's Darran and John. Brother Séan (Kildare), Sisters Maureen (Florida), Bridget (New York), adored grandchildren Sophie, Alannah, Heidi, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. May Brian's Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.
Removal to St Mary’s Church, Gortletteragh (N41 HY61), on Tuesday, August 8 to arrive at 7.30pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday, August 9 at 12 noon, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Thomas (Tommy) O'Reilly, Creggy, The Pigeons, Athlone, Westmeath, N37 F851 / The Ballagh, Wexford


The death occurred suddenly surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, August 6, 2023 of Thomas (Tommy) O'Reilly, Creggy, The Pigeons, Athlone, Co. Westmeath, and late of Tubberclaire and formerly of Oulart-The Ballagh, Co. Wexford.
Predeceased by his beloved son Baby Thomas Patrick, sisters and Brothers. Sadly missed by his loving wife Maureen, daughters Patricia (Grennan) and Thomasina, brother Joseph, sister Mary and Alice, son-in-law Patrick, grandchildren Aaron and Ciara and his great grandson Midir, in-laws, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends. May He Rest In Peace.
Reposing at his residence (Creggy, The Pigeons, N37 F851) on Tuesday evening, August 8 from 4pm until 8pm (House private outside these visiting hours). Requiem Mass in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Tang (N39 VY58) on Wednesday, August 9 at 11am followed by burial afterwards in Tubberclaire cemetery. The family greatly appreciates your sympathy and support at this very difficult time. Due to increases in viruses and vulnerability of elderly people, the family asks that those attending the funeral be vigilant and hand sanitise where appropriate.

Raymond Smyth, Ballyfinnegan, Ballintubber, Roscommon


The recent death  occurred suddenly of Raymond Smyth, Ballyfinnegan, Ballintubber, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon. Pre-deceased by his parents James & Nora. Sadly missed by his loving wife Patricia, daughters Laura, Rachel & Aoife, brothers James (Birmingham) and Michael (Ballintubber), sisters Catherine Durkin (Ballaghadereen), Ita Collins (Strokestown), Ann Nolan (Birmingham) and Maggie Vesey (New York), Rachel's partner Patrick, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, parents-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. R.I.P.
Reposing at the family home in Ballintubber on Thursday evening, August 10 from 5pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass on Friday, August 11 at 12 noon in St. Bride's Church, Ballintubber with burial afterwards in the local cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to Inis Aoibhinn Cancer Care West.
