The death occurred peacefully in Tullamore Regional Hospital in the presence of his loving family on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 of Paddy Lee, Orem Hill, Soran, Ballinalee, Co Longford.
Predeceased by his parents Willie and Maggie. Paddy will be forever missed and always remembered by his family, his beloved wife Marian, his children Adrian, Stephen, Gary, Fiona and Angela, son-in-law David Ledwith, daughters-in-law Ethna, Josephine and Aisling, his adored grandchildren Alex, Aoife, James, Rachel, Gavin, Sophie, Seán, Sarah, Kayla, Chloe, Tadhg and Emily, brothers Michael and Noel (England), sister Kathleen Browne, brothers-in-law John and Kevin, sisters-in-law Christine, Philomena and Ann, nephews, nieces, cousins, neighbours and friends. Deep are the memories, Precious they stay, No passing of time, Can take them away. Rest in Peace Paddy.
Reposing in Connell's Funeral Home, Church Street, Longford (N39 P0E8) on Thursday, June 15 from 6pm concluding with prayers 7.30pm. The death occurred peacefully in the Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 of James Joseph McGuire, Ardandra, Legan, Co Longford. Predeceased by his daughter-in-law Tina. Sadly missed by his loving wife Geraldine, daughters Sharon and Valerie, son Garry, grandchildren Erin and Niamh, son-in-law Steve, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Rest in peace.
Funeral Mass this Friday, June 16 in St Mary's Church, Legan, at 12 noon. Burial in Abbeyshrule Cemetery.

The death occurred, peacefully surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, June 11, 2023 of Aidan O’Hara, (Broadcaster, Writer and Historian), Chestnut Close, Clonbalt Woods, Longford town and formerly of Muff, Co Donegal.
Predeceased by his parents Marjorie (nee Curran) and James O'Hara (Drumlish, Co Longford), sister Mona Doherty and brothers Brendan, Eamon and Colm. Aidan will be remembered in the hearts and minds of all that knew his passion and love for Ireland's cultural arts and heritage. Always remembered with love by his family, his devoted wife Joyce, daughter Kathleen, sons Sean, Brian and Conor, daughter-in-law Fionnag, son-in-law Brendan, grandchildren Eoghan, Laoise, Sorcha, Órla, Ró and Chloe, sisters Kathleen and Carol, his twin brother Mel, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and his many friends and colleagues around the world. Reposing at his residence in Clonbalt Woods (N39 H9P0) on Friday, June 16 from 5pm until 8pm. Mass of the Resurrection in celebration of Aidan’s life will take place in St Mel’s Cathedral on Saturday, June 17 at 10.45am, followed by cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan, at 1.30pm. Seamus Tiernan, Ferefad, Longford Town, Longford


The death occurred peacefully at the Midland’s Regional Hospital, Mullingar, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, June 11, 2023 of Seamus Tiernan,
Ferefad and late of "Donlons", Dublin Street, Longford. Seamus, reunited with his infant daughter Mary, niece Irene, brother-in-law Larry, sister-in-law Mary and by his parents Pat and Ann. Beloved husband of Mary and devoted father of Damian (Athlone & Sligo), Gillian Strange (Galway), Carmel Hannon (Roscommon) and Laura Higgins (Sligo). Seamus will be sadly missed by his wife, son, daughters, grandchildren Maebh, Clodagh, Leah, Siobhan, Alison, Aaron, Caitlin, Ryan, James and Mark, brother Micheál, sister Catherine, daughter-in-law Orlagh, sons-in-law Pete and Declan, brother-in-law Paul, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.
Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road (N39 EC81) on Wednesday, June 14 from 6pm, concluding with prayers at 8pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Thursday, June 15 at 11am in St Mel’s Cathedral (on the 55th anniversary of the celebration of his wedding in St Mel’s Cathedral), interment afterwards in Ballymacormack Cemetery. The death occurred in London on Saturday, May 27, 2023 of PJ Flood, Marian Avenue, Edgeworthstown, Co Longford/ Wexford.
Predeceased by his parents Ben and Babs and his brother Tom Flood, Marian Avenue, Edgeworthstown, Co Longford. Sadly missed by his loving wife Margaret, sons Anthony, Adrian and Kevin, daughter Sheila, daughters in law Tracy, Clair and Sarah, son in law Andy. Devoted grandad to Kirsty, Reece, Megan, Ryan and Katie. Great grandfather to Poppy, Austin, Lily, Dolcie and Nancy. His loving brothers and sisters, brothers in law, sisters in law, his aunt Maureen Gill, cousins, many relatives and friends. Rest in Peace.

The death occurred, peacefully at home surrounded by her family, on Sunday, June 11, 2023 of Maureen Dowd (née Murtagh), Fortwilliam, Newtowncashel, Longford. Predeceased by her parents James and Margaret and her brother Tom. Maureen will be sadly missed by her husband PJ, daughters Olive and Helen, son Patrick, sons in law Stuart and Adam, her adored grandsons Ben, Sam, Harry, Donnacha, Henry and Noah, her sister Brigid (BC Fitzsimons), brother Ambrose, brothers in law, sisters in law, niece, nephews and a wide circle of neighbours and friends. May her gentle soul rest in peace.
Reposing at the family home Fortwilliam, Newtowncashel (N39 CF44) on Tuesday, June 13 from 4pm to 8pm. Funeral Cortege will leave the family home on Wednesday, June 14 at 11:30 arriving at the Church of the Blessed Virgin Newtowncashel for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Cashel Cemetery. Predeceased by her beloved husband Peter, her darling daughter Ashleen Mulligan, brothers Jerome Hegarty, Pat Hegarty and by her sister Margaret Quinn. Jennie will be sadly missed by her loving son Jim, daughters Audrey and Claire, daughter-in-law Catherine, sons-in-law John Barry and Kieran Mulligan, brother Adrian Hegarty, her grandchildren Lorna, Andrea, Kerrie, James, Peter, Jemima, Tony, Gary, Johnny, Hugo and Natasha will miss but always have the best memories of Lala, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Predeceased by his wife Bridie. Sadly missed by his daughter Margaret Kilcoyne and Pat, Breege and partner Mike, Sean, Seamus and his wife Aoife, grandchildren James, Ben, Patrick, Moira. Deeply regretted by his sisters Bridget Tierney and Kathleen Rahill, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. May he rest in peace.
Reposing at Finnegans Funeral Home, Dublin Road Cavan on Tuesday evening, June 13 from 5.30 until 7.30pm. Removal to St Michael's Church, Potahee, to arrive at 8.30pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday morning, June 14 at 11am in St. Michael's Church. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The death occurred, peacefully, in the wonderful care of Roselodge Nursing Home, Killucan, on Saturday, June 10, 2023 of Don (Michael) Clarke, 18 Lir Park, Castlepollard, Co. Westmeath and formerly of Springbank, Saggart, Co Dublin. Don will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Mary, their three children Dean, Ivan and Michelle, his nine grandchildren, great-granddaughter, brother, sisters, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, family and friends. The death occurred unexpectedly on Monday, April 3, 2023 of Maurice Kelly, Tower View, Strokestown, Roscommon He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Rachael, beloved children Charlotte and Oliver, his adored dogs as well as close friends and extended family. “Though my soul may set in darkness, it will rise in perfect light; I have loved the stars too truly to be fearful of the night.” Sarah Williams, The Old Astronomer.
