The death occurred, peacefully at home, on Monday, April 24, 2023 of Patricia Cooney (nee Boyle), Drumlish Hill, Drumlish, Co Longford and formerly of Leeds.
Predeceased by her father Tom and brother Sean. Much loved and sadly missed by her husband Michael, daughter Emma (Davis), son Michael (Micko), mother Eileen, sister Bernadette (Keaney), brothers Bryan, Paul, Maurice & Thomas, grandchildren Brónagh, Saoirse, Daithí & Donagh, daughter in law Fran, son in law Padraic, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Reposing at her home (Eircode N39 A210) on Tuesday evening, April 25 from 5pm - 8pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday, April 26 in St Mary's Church, Drumlish at 2pm. Mary Kenny (née Derwin), Clonscott, Moydow, Longford, N39 VY62

The death occurred, peacefully, in her 95th year, at her home, in the loving care of her family, on Sunday, April 23, 2023 of Mary Kenny (nee Derwin), Clonscott, Moydow, Longford. Predeceased by her husband Paddy, her daughter May Flynn, her sister Maggie and her brother Barney. Sadly missed by her loving sons Bernard and John, her daughters Angela Connaughton (Rathowen) and Geraldine Murphy (Skerries), her daughter-in-law Jacinta, sons-in-law Dennis and Niall, niece Rosemary, nephews Noel, Declan and Padraig, grandchildren Orla, Aoife, Colin, Olive, Ronan, William, Brian, Sinead, Marie Therese, Paul, Deirdre, Fintan, Sean and Orla, great-grandchildren, neighbours, relatives and friends. Reposing at her home in Clonscott on Tuesday, April 25 from 3pm until 6pm, with removal to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Carrickedmond, arriving at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday, April 26 at 11am. The death occurred, peacefully in the loving care of the nurses and staff of the Regional Hospital Mullingar, on Monday, April 24, 2023 of Jack Macken, Aughagreagh, Ballinalee, Co Longford. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Eileen, sons Johnny and Gabriel, daughters Catherine and Caroline, daughters in law, sons in law, grandchildren, nephew, relatives, neighbours and friends. RIP.

Therese Cummins (née Browne), Cnoc Na Gaoithe, Lanesboro, Co Longford / Dublin

The death occurred, peacefully, in the care of the staff of Laurel Lodge Nursing, surrounded by her family, on Monday, April 24, 2023 of Theresa Cummins (nee Browne), Cnoc Na Gaoithe, Lanesboro, Co Longford and formerly of Avonbeg, Tallaght, Dublin. Predeceased by her husband Ron and son Michael.
Theresa will be sadly missed and always remembered by her loving family, sons Chris, Derek and Ron, daughters-in-law Lorraine and Carroll, her beloved grandchildren Marcus, Darren, Sebastian, Christopher and Aidan, sister Liz, nephews and nieces, relatives, neighbours and dear friends. The death occurred, peacefully, at Drumderrig Nursing Home, Boyle, Co Roscommon, on Saturday, April 22, 2023 of Stella Owens (née Canning), Carrick Rd, Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim and formerly of Renfrew, Scotland and the UK. Predeceased by her parents, John and Mary Canning, her brothers, John, Gerard and Brendan and her sisters, May, Teresa, Vera and most recently, her beloved husband, Seamus. Sadly missed by her daughters, Stephanie and Deirdre, her son, Damian, grandson Joe, son-in-law Jeremy,and extended family and friends. Rest In Peace.

Philomena Rooney (née McGarry), UK and formerly, Rathowen, Co Westmeath

The death occurred, peacefully at her home in Hazel Grove, Stockport, United Kingdom, on Monday, April 3, 2023 of Philomena Rooney (neé McGarry), daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret McGarry, of Rathowen, Co Westmeath.
Prior to moving to Cheshire, Phil had lived with her late husband, Dr Kevin Rooney, in Leeds, West Yorkshire. She was predeceased by her husband; her two sons, Francis and Eamon Rooney; her brothers, Eamon, Mel, Michael and Patrick McGarry and her sisters, Bernadette O’Donnell, Maureen (Sr Gertrude SJC) and Peggy (Sr Bernadette SJC) McGarry. She is survived by her two children, Clair Gadzama and Brian Rooney; her grandchildren; great grandchildren; her cousins, the reverend Sisters Maura Brid McGarry OLM and Eileen McGarry OLM, of the Convent of Mercy, Longford and her nephews and nieces in Ireland and the USA. Phil lived to 92 years of age and enjoyed a very full life. Generous to a fault, she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
A requiem Mass will be celebrated at St Peter’s Church, Hazel Grove, Stockport, UK, at 12 noon on Monday, April 24, 2023. The recent death has taken place of Patrick McIntyre, at his home in Bromsgrove, England and formerly of Glebe Street, Mohill, Co Leitrim.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Toni, sons Michael, Matthew, Danny, daughter Ana, brother Michael, sister Mary (Roben), grandchildren, great grandchildren, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, and a large circle of friends. May he rest in peace.

The death occurred, peacefully in the presence of her friends Joe and Ewa at the Royal Free Hospital (London), after a short illness, on Monday, April 10, 2023 of Ursula Fidelma Simpson, London, formerly of Strokestown, Co Roscommon. Predeceased by her sisters Loreto and Carmel, and by her brother, MJ. Mourned by her son, Jonathan; her niece, Orlaith; her nephew, Darragh; and by her close friends and former colleagues.
