Colmcille GFC is continuing preparations for its upcoming Quid Games fundraising event, which will take place on Sunday, February 1 at Lough Rynn Castle Estate & Gardens.
The event, which has already attracted strong interest across the county, is being held with the support of main sponsor Breedon.
The Quid Games is a large-scale fundraising initiative featuring a series of interactive and competitive games, with participants raising funds in advance of the event for the chance to compete for a substantial cash prize of €10,000.

The fundraiser has gained significant momentum in recent weeks, with several participants already exceeding the €1,750 fundraising target as anticipation builds ahead of the night.
Breedon’s involvement has played a key role in supporting the event and reinforcing the strong link between the company and the local community. Members of the Colmcille GFC executive recently visited Breedon’s facility in Aughnacliffe, where employees met with club representatives to mark the partnership.

Funds raised through the Quid Games will be reinvested directly into Colmcille GFC, supporting the ongoing development of club facilities, underage structures, and player development across all levels. The event forms part of the club’s wider efforts to secure funding while also delivering a unique social occasion for players, supporters, and the wider community.
In addition to Breedon’s headline sponsorship, Colmcille GFC continues to engage with local businesses and individuals through a range of sponsorship options connected with the event. Sponsorship opportunities remain open, and the club is encouraging any businesses or supporters interested in getting involved to contact the club or any member of the Colmcille GFC executive as soon as possible, as preparations for event materials and the official night booklet are currently being finalised.

With the event now firmly on the countdown to Lough Rynn Castle, organisers say interest continues to grow, both from participants and supporters, as the Quid Games approaches what promises to be a major night in the club’s fundraising calendar.
Further updates will be shared via Colmcille GFC’s official channels in the coming weeks.
