Chris Kelly, Ardandra, Legan, Longford


The death occurred on Saturday, February 18, 2023 of Chris Kelly, Ardandra, Legan, Longford, in his 90th year. A cherished and wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
Predeceased by his parents Christopher and Kate, sisters Kathleen and Rose, brothers Joe and Bill and great-grandson baby Malachi. Chris will be forever loved and missed by his wife Kathleen, daughters Fiona and Clare, son-in-law Simon, his adored grandchildren Daniel, Luke, Ciara, Danny, Roisin and Ciaran, his beloved sister Maureen and brothers Tom and Jim, nieces, nephews, all his extended family, neighbours and his many dear friends. "Teacher of unconditional love". May his gentle and beautiful soul rest in peace.
Reposing in his home on Monday, February 20 from 4pm until 7pm. House private at all other times please. Funeral Mass on Tuesday, February 21 at 11am in St Mary's Church, Legan, followed with burial in the New Cemetery, Legan. Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to Family Carers Ireland c/o Connell Funeral Directors or any family member.

Patsy Donlon (née Eivers), Moher, Ballyleague, Roscommon


The death occurred, peacefully in the presence of her family, on Friday, February 17, 2023 of Patsy Donlon (née Eivers), Moher, Ballyleague, Roscommon. Predeceased by her husband Pete, son Thomas and grandson Daniel. Patsy will be deeply missed by her children Christine, Edward, Niall and Patricia, her loving partner Gerry, her brothers TJ and Kevin, her sons in law and daughters in law Andy, Michelle, Mary, Declan and Nessa. Her grandchildren Katie, Jordan, James, Channon, Rachel, Grace, Sam and Lexi. Sadly missed by her sisters in law, brothers in law and their spouses and children, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends. May her gentle soul rest in peace.
Reposing at Farrell's Funeral Home (N39 E761) Lanesboro on Monday, February 20 from 5pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday, February 21 at 12 noon in the Church of the Holy Rosary, Ballyleague burial thereafter in Cloontuskert Cemetery. House Private Please. The death occurred, peacefully, on Sunday, February 19, 2023 of Kathleen Galligan Cashel, Ballinagh. Retired Staff Nurse at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by her father John Frank and mother Katie sisters Mary and Mona, Deeply regretted by her nieces, nephews Sean (Roisin), Padraig, Siobhan (Robbie), Caith (Mike), Maura (Brendan), Sinead (James), Sean Kelly (Nicky), relatives, neighbours and friends. May she rest in peace.
Reposing at Finnegan’s Funeral Home and Crematorium Dublin Road, Cavan on Tuesday evening, February 21 from 5pm until 7pm. Removal to arrive at St Felim’s Church Ballinagh on Wednesday, February 22 for Funeral Mass at 2pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House Private please.

Evelyn Shannon (née Smyth) 4 Shanggarrai, Ballinagh, Co Cavan, H12 TF65 / Carrickmacross, Monaghan


The death occurred, peacefully, surrounded by her beloved family, at the Mater Hospital, Dublin, on Sunday, February 19, 2023 of Evelyn Shannon (née Smyth) 4 Shangarrai, Ballinagh, Co Cavan & formerly Cloughvalley, Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan.
Predeceased by her husband Cormac. Sadly missed and remembered with love by her cherished family, her sons Paddy, Cormac (Madeline), Aidan, Raymond (Maureen) & Paul (Sinéad), her adored grandchildren, Stefan, Fergal, Alex, Evan, Fionn & Orna and her great-grandson Cillian, her brother Eamonn (Castleblayney), Patsy (UK) and her sister Christina (Ballybay), her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives & friends. Evelyn will repose at her home, 4 Shangarrai, Ballinagh, on Monday, February 20 from 7pm until 9pm and at Lonergan Funeral Directors Funeral Home, Carrickmacross, A81 D328, on Tuesday,  February 21 from 4pm until 8pm. Evelyn's funeral cortège will leave her son Paul & daughter-in-law Sinead's home, St Macartan's Villas, on Wednesday, February 22 proceeding on foot to St. Joseph's Church, Carrickmacross, arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 noon followed by burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery. The death occurred, suddenly at home, on Thursday, February 16, 2023 of Donal Walshe, Churchill Crescent, Athlone and late of Galvin’s Boreen, Glasson, Athlone, Co Westmeath and Ballyragget, Co Kilkenny. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Mary, Sister Sr Mary. Sadly missed by his heartbroken wife Kathleen, daughters Niamh and Siobhan, sisters Eileen and Stella, brother John, grandchildren Aoibhinn, Eva, Fionn and Anna, son in law Enda, Siobhan’s partner Aidan, brother in law, nieces, nephews, neighbours, relatives and friends. May Donal Rest in Peace.
Reposed at his daughters Niamh’s Home, Glasson (N37PT88) on Sunday, February 19 from 3pm until 7pm. Removal on Monday, February 20 to The Church of Immaculate Conception, Tubberclair arriving at 10.50am for Funeral Prayers. Funeral Mass at 11am. Followed by cremation in Mount Jerome Crematorium, Dublin at 3.15pm. House Private to family please outside reposing times.

The death occurred, peacefully after a brief illness at Kerry University Hospital, Tralee, Co Kerry, on Sunday, February 19, 2023 of Angela McNiff, Kiltyhugh, Ballinamore, Co Leitrim/ Killarney, Kerry.
Predeceased by her father Thomas Joseph. Angela will be sadly missed by her heartbroken mother Esther, brothers Gerard & Joseph, sisters Mary (Moran), Ann (Delahunty) & Patricia (McLoughlin), aunts Breege Maguire & Tess McGovern, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Rest in Peace.
Reposing at the family home in Kiltyhugh N41 FH22 this Tuesday evening, February 21 from 5pm until 8pm. House for family and neighbours at all other times please. Removal on Wednesday morning, February 22 to arrive at St. Brigid’s Church, Corraleehan for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Ann Cullen (nee Thorne), La Montagne, France and formerly Dublin Street and Deanscurragh, Longford


The death occurred of Ann Cullen (nee Thorne), La Montagne, France, daughter of the late William and Catherine Thorne Dublin Street and Deanscurragh, Longford. Ann died in Maulin's Centre Hospital La Montagne, France where she lived for over fifty years with her husband Terry.
She is survived by her husband Terry, formerly of Main St Longford, her brothers Mattie and Frank, relatives and friends.
A commemorative Mass will be held for Ann in St Mel's Cathedral on Sunday, March 12 at 10am.

Noreen (Nora) Josephine Atkinson (Landy NÉE Wallace) England and late of New Kiltoom, Castlepollard, Co Westmeath / Louisburgh, Mayo


The death occurred, peacefully, on Friday, January 13, 2023 of Noreen (Nora) Josephine Atkinson (Landy née Wallace), Ruislip, Middlesex, England and formerly of New Kiltoom, Castlepollard, Co Westmeath and Louisburgh, Co Mayo. Beloved wife of Brian and the late Eamonn and dear mother of Paul and Louise. Noreen will be very sadly missed by her husband and family, son-in-law Gary, daughter-in-law Jackie, her cherished grandchildren Natasha, Heather, Aidan, Pearse and Christy, her brothers Anthony, Stephen and Tommy, sister Mary, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends. May Noreen rest in peace.
Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, February 13, 2023, at 1pm at Our Lady of the Visitation Church, Greenford, Middlesex, England, followed by cremation at Breakspear Crematorium, Ruislip. The Mass can be viewed at Our Lady of the Visitation
A Memorial Mass will take place on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 12 noon in the Church of St John the Baptist, Whitehall, Castlepollard, Co Westmeath followed by interment of ashes in the adjoining cemetery. In preference to flowers, Brian, Paul and Louise would appreciate donations to Alzheimer's Research UK (JustGiving)
