The death occurred, suddenly but peacefully, at his residence, on Thursday, December 29, 2022 of Matthew Gray, Edenmore, Ballinamuck, Co Longford. Predeceased by his wife Mary and recently by his brother Rev Fr Frank Gray. Matthew will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, daughters Martha and Maura, son Francis, son-in-law Stephen, his beloved grandchildren Matthew and Maria, sister Mary Molloy (Carrick-on-Shannon), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. May he rest in peace. Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road, on Saturday, December 31 from 4pm concluding with prayers at 6pm. Mass of The Resurrection on Sunday, January 1, 2023 at 1pm in St Colmcille’s Church, Aughnacliffe, with interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. The death occurred, suddenly, on Thursday, December 22, 2022 of Juozas Karalius, Greenview, Ballymahon Road, Edgeworthstown, Longford. Santosh (Toshi) Kumari Varma, 89 College Park, Longford Town, Longford

The death occurred,  peacefully, in the loving care of the doctors, nurses and staff in Medical 1 at the Regional Hospital, Mullingar, on Thursday, December 29, 2022 of Santosh (Toshi) Kumari Varma, 89 College Park, Longford town.
Sadly missed by her loving husband Manohar Lal, her sons Rajiv and Ashish, daughters-in-law Julie and Ger, adored grandson David, extended Varma and Kohli families, relatives, friends and neighbours throughout Ireland, the UK and India. Rest in peace.
Reposing Friday, December 30 from 2pm until 3.30pm in Glennons Funeral Home, Longford. Cremation will take place at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan on Saturday, December 31 at 11.30am. House private.

Eileen Casey (née Toher), Killeeney, Killashee, Longford

The death occurred, peacefully at home surrounded by her family in her 99th year, on Wednesday, December 28 of Eileen Casey (née Toher), Killeeney, Killashee, Longford. Predeceased by her husband James. Eileen will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, daughter Evelyn, sons Seamus and Padraic, daughters-in-law Margaret and Caitríona, grandchildren Sinead, Emer, Conor, Liam and Aine, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road, on Friday, December 30 from 6pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Removal from her residence on Saturday, December 31 to arrive at St Patrick’s Church, Killashee, for Mass of the Resurrection at 12 noon, interment afterwards in Ballinakill Cemetery. Petie O'Reilly, Coolamber, Mostrim, Longford

The death occurred, peacefully in Our Lady's Manor, Edgeworthstown in the presence of his loving wife Eileen, sister Rita (Rowley) and nieces Gráinne and Donna, on Thursday, December 29 of Petie O'Reilly, Coolamber, Mostrim, Longford. Predeceased by his mother Rose Ann and father Robert, Joan, brothers Jimmy and John, sisters Bridie, Mary Jane and Kathleen. Sadly missed by his loving wife Eileen, sisters Rita and Peggy (USA), nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives, neighbours and friends. Rest in Peace. Hubert Kearns, Mount Merrion, Dublin / Ballymahon, Longford
The death occurred, peacefully, with his wife at his side, on Monday, December 26 of Hubert Kearns, late of Mount Merrion, Dublin / Ballymahon, Longford. Hubert, devoted and beloved husband of Terry, loving father of Frances, Helen and Paula. Sadly missed by his wife, daughters, sons-in-law Hereward Turley, Anthony O’ Meara and Colin Jowers, his adored grandchildren, Tim, Zoe, Shane, Julie, Natalie, Charlotte, Isobel and his sister Pauline, extended family and friends. Remembering also his late sisters Mary, Kathleen and Bessie.
Reposing in Quinn’s of Glasthule on Friday, December 30 from 5pm – 6pm. Removal on Saturday, December 31 to the Church of St. Thérèse, Mount Merrion arriving for 10am Funeral Mass which can be viewed on https://www.mountmerrionparish.ie/webcam/ followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery. Tony (Antony Michael) Brown, 13 Shannon Cove, Dromod, Leitrim

The death occurred, peacefully, at his home in the loving care of his wife and son, on Thursday, December 29, 2022 of Tony (Antony Michael) Brown, 13 Shannon Cove, Dromod, Co Leitrim and formerly Swindon and St Albans, UK. Predeceased by his daughter Emma and mother Hazel. He will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his heartbroken wife Karen and son Daniel, father Robert, sister Sarah and brother Chris ( All in UK), aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, wonderful neighbours and friends. Reposing at his home (N41 V297) on Sunday, January 1 from 2pm until 4pm. Removal on Monday morning, Janaury 2 at 10.30am to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Rochfortbridge, Co. Predeceased by her husband John Tom sons Christy and Tom and daughter Claire sadly missed by her family daughter Maura (Mannion) sons John, Paul, Willie, Gerry, Mick, Stephen and Ned. The death occurred on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 of Mary McNiff (nee McLoughlin), Dristernan, Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim. Predeceased by her parents Terence and Mary, her sister Helen, brothers Jim, Ted and Joseph. Mary will repose at St. Patrick's Hospital Mortuary, Carrick on Shannon on Saturday, December 31 from 1 - 4pm. Removal of remains on Sunday morning, January 1, 2023 at 11am to arrive at St. Patrick's Church, Drumshanbo for 11:30 requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Jim Nealon, Lucan, Dublin / Ballinamore, Co Leitrim

The death occurred, peacefully surrounded by his loving family and in the tender care of the staff at Ryevale Nursing Home, Leixlip, on Thursday, December 29, 2022 of Jim Nealon, Lucan, Co Dublin and formerly of Ballinamore, Co Leitrim. Beloved husband of Ann and much-loved father of James, Peter, Paul and Emma, predeceased by his brother Sean; sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughter, grandchildren Adam, Aoife, James, Áine, Dylan, Harry and Emily, sister Nellie son-in-law Joey, daughters-in-law Orla, Zelinda and Róisín, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Raymond (Ray) Creamer, Lough Rynn and Treanmore, Mohill, Co Leitrim

The death occurred, suddenly, at his home in Luton, on Sunday, December 11, 2022 of Raymond (Ray) Creamer, Inkerman Street, Luton, Bedfordshire, UK, formerly of Lough Rynn and Treanmore, Mohill, Co Leitrim.
Ray was predeceased by his parents, John (Sonny) and Bridie and his sister Breege (Reilly). He will be sadly missed by his heartbroken daughters, Caroline, Sharon and Kelly and their Mother, Teresa, his adored grandchildren, Shannon, Declan, Dylan, Niamh, Shaun, Nathan, Lilly and Mollie, his brothers, Michael, Liam, Des, sister Betty, his sisters-in- law, Mary and Agnes and brother-in-law, Tommy, his nieces, nephews, extended family and his wide circle of friends. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Michael Patrick Greene, Strokestown, Roscommon

The death occurred, peacefully, in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 of Michael Patrick Greene, of Birmingham, and formerly of Strokestown, Roscommon. Predeceased by his brothers, Frank, Anthony, Tommy, Johnny and sister Mary and wives Kitty and Maureen. Michael deeply regretted and remembered by his sisters Peggy and Nancy and brother-in-law Tom Fisher, and John Orahoe, daughter Pamela, son-in-law Lou sons Kieran and Adrian, daughter-in-laws, Helen and Caroline, grandchildren, Nicholas, Eleanor, Alexis, Talia, Francesca, Marijka, Lorna, Cairstine and Patric. Great grandchildren, Harry, Rory, Conor and Douglas. Also by his many nephews and nieces.
Requiem Mass on Friday, January 27 at 11:30 am at St Joseph's and Helen's Kings Norton, Birmingham, followed by cremation at Lodge Hill Crematorium, Selly Oak, Birmingham. May he rest in peace.
