Busy Longford filling station lodges plans for expansion
Fox’s Gala in Ballinalee will receive a decision on the planning application by October 27.
A busy shop and filling station in Ballinalee has lodged expansion plans with Longford County Council.
Fox’s Gala in Ballinalee, the director of which is listed as Declan Fox, yesterday submitted a planning application seeking permission for the proposed construction of an extension to the rear and side of the existing shop building, together with proposed alterations to the existing facades.
According to the application, plans for the shop design will incorporate an ancillary off-licence area, coffee/serve over and seating area, hot food and deli area, storage space, freezer/cold rooms, toilet areas, and staff areas.
The planning application also includes associated signage, provision of onsite car parking spaces, landscaping, and installation of EV charging point, “all of the above which to be used in conjunction with the existing service station business and all ancillary works”
Longford County Council is expected to return a decision by October 27.
