'Goosebumps!' Watch the full DWTS routine that won praise for Longford's Maura

WATCH: Wearing a stunning Tri-colour dress, Ballymahon’s Maura Higgins and pro-partner Mark Ballas performed the Paso Doble to the patriotic tune of The Dropkick Murphy’s ‘I’m Shipping Up to Boston’ on this week’s Dancing With The Stars US.

Three days after having danced the Paso Doble in a tribute to Ireland as part of DWTS Dedication Night, Ballymahon star Maura Higgins is still generating praise for her incredible performance.

For the finale of their routine, Maura and professional partner, Mark Ballas, were joined by Lord of the Dance professional Lochlan ‘Lucky’ Howard, who regaled the crowd with his Irish dancing, all to the famously patriotic tune of The Dropkick Murphys’ ‘I’m Shipping Up to Boston.’

Maura earned a standing ovation for the performance, which also secured her a very impressive 35/40. There were no eliminations this week.

Speaking about why she chose to dedicate the performance to her Irish homeland, Maura explained, “even though they can’t vote for me, I can still feel the love and support, even though we’re here thousands of miles away.”

“I just hope they’re very proud of me. I can’t let Ireland down, that’s for sure.”

The Ballymahon star is now third favourite to win however those odds are expected to improve given the strength of her ‘goosebump inducing’ performances to date.

There were no eliminations this week, but next week’s Hallowe’en horror movie-themed episode will see two contestants being sent home in a double elimination.
