Longford swimming was very much in the limelight this week following Darragh Greene's hat-trick of gold medal triumphs in the 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke events at the Irish Open Championships in the National Aquatic Centre, Dublin.

It is the second successive year that Darragh, from Newtownforbes, has won all three titles and in July he will represent Ireland at the World Championships in South Korea. He is also targeting an appearance at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

The Longford Community Games county swimming finals took place recently and you can be sure that many of the talented swimmers have ambitions to follow in the footsteps of Darragh Greene in the future.

Thanks to BETTY FOX who captured this fantastic selection of presentation photos from the Longford Community Games county swimming finals and we hope you enjoy them.
