Longford municipal district poll topper, Fine Gael's Gerry Hagan described the performance of his party in topping the three municipal districts in Longford as a 'massive achievement'.
Having previously served in the Granard District, after being selected to replace Cllr John Duffy in April 2018, Killoe based Cllr Hagan was elected to Longford MD in 2019 and his 1,063 votes (according to the tallies) in this election is a huge personal triumph.
