WATCH: Feud members’ threats to rival as they follow him through Longford town estate

Tensions in the town are escalating

A video is being circulated of Longford feud members issuing threats to a rival during an altercation at the entrance of Annaly Car Park in Longford Town.

In the video of the incident, which was filmed by one of the members involved, a number of men can be seen following an individual as they roar threats to burn down his house. Another person in the background can be heard threatening to burn his house that night.

The men could also be heard victoriously shouting their family surname (muted in above clip) and warning their rival that they were not going to be "put out" of the town.

The altercation comes at a time when tensions in the town are running high as a result of a number of criminal incidents.

Last week, at 2:50am on the morning of Wednesday Feb 4, a shot was fired at a house in Garvey's Close beside Annaly Car Park just two days after a convoy of Garda Armed Support Unit vehicles entered the estate and surrounded the same house in a weapons related raid. A video of the shooting can be viewed here.

Later that same day, Gardaí intercepted an altercation in nearby Annaly Car Park where they found a man in possession of a weapon. He was arrested and charged that evening and kept in custody in Longford Garda Station that night.

Last night, two men were stabbed in Teffia Park with one of the victims being dumped outside Longford Garda Station.
