Longford Gardaí are currently investigating a video being sent around WhatsApp today in which a shooter can be seen firing a gun in Garvey’s Close, Annaly Park in Longford Town, at 2.50am this morning, Wednesday February 4.
While no one has come forward to officially report the incident, a number of individuals who were privy to the WhatsApp message have confirmed for the Longford Leader they alerted Gardaí to its content.
In the footage, the shooter can be seen standing by the front lawn of a house. He then loiters for a number of moments, before turning swiftly to take aim and fire the weapon. He then quickly absconds from the area.
No one was injured during the shooting which is believed to be connected to an ongoing feud.
Garda investigations are continuing.
