Paul Flynn landed the maiden hunters’ chase at Clonmel on Wednesday with Milan Forth which was ridden by Kinnegad amateur Kevin Healy.

A 9/2 chance in the colours of owner Patrick Whyte, the winning rider’s grandfather, the six-year-old added to three previous point-to-point wins as he got the better of Pat Doyle’s 5/2 joint-favourite Magic Sadler by three and a quarter lengths.

Flynn was back in the winners’ enclosure as the Rory Cleary-ridden Dromore Glory took the 12-furlong handicap at Dundalk on Friday evening.

Owned and bred by Thomas Lynam, the well-supported 4/1 chance led passing the two-furlong pole and he kept on well to beat Ado McGuinness’ 7/2 favourite Jawhary by a length and three-parts.

In the colours of owners Niall and Cathal Slevin, the Eoin Walsh-ridden 12/1 chance gained a definite advantage at the second-last hurdle and raced clear to score by an easy five and a half lengths from the Denis Hogan-trained 11/1 shot Ephesus and Daniel King with the Noel Meade-trained 5/6 favourite half a length away in third place.
