Congratulations to Longford RFC U18 player Shane McGuigan from Aughnagarron, Granard who has been invited into the upcoming Ireland U18 clubs training camp at Clongowes Wood College next month.
Shane has played with Longford Rugby Club all the way through from minis and was a leading member of last season’s successful U17’s team who won the Leinster Plate & Midlands League competitions double.
Shane is currently training with the Leinster Rugby U18’s club squad summer training programme, ahead of the inter-provincials in late Autumn.

The Ireland U18’s invitation is testament to the impressive progress Shane has continued to make over the past couple of seasons for club, school and in the Leinster Rugby.

A one week Ireland training camp will culminate with games against Scotland, Wales and Italy in the IRFU High Performance Centre on Friday, August 9. We wish Shane the very best of luck for the future.
