Longford's Melissa O'Kane has been selected as the Player of the Month for her club, Shamrock Rovers, for the first time following a string of impressive performances.
The Ardagh native joined the Hoops from Athlone Town back in 2022 and has been a mainstay for Shamrock Rovers in the Women's Premier Division. The move came when O'Kane opted to attend college in Dublin.

The defender, now a regular in the Hoops' lineup, has gone from strength to strength this season and in particular the last month where her goal in the Dublin Derby against Bohemians secured her first Player of the Month award with the club.

It was also a mixed month for the Ardagh native as she faced off against her old club, league-leaders Athlone Town, where they lost 2-1 at Tallaght Stadium.
Shamrock Rovers are currently sixth in the table as they prepare for their All-Ireland Cup clash against Shelbourne on July 24.
