Longford motorists urged to be careful as there is flooding on N4 and N55
AA Roadwatch is reporting that it is a wet morning right across the country with excess surface water on many routes and some reports of spot flooding in Longford and neighbouring counties.

Spot flooding has been reported on the N55 Athlone/Longford Road between Athlone and Ballymahon.

There is also spot flooding reported on the N4 Sligo/Dublin Rd between Longford and Carrick-On-Shannon.

The heavy rainfall is also hitting sporting fixtures with Leinster GAA announcing in the last few minutes that the Bord na Móna O'Byrne Cup football final between Meath and Westmeath isn't going ahead.
