The Longford Branch of the Alzheimer Society of Ireland will open their first ever Alzheimer Café in Longford Credit Union Ltd, 50 Main Street, Longford on Wednesday, January 30 and on the last Wednesday of every month, from 7pm to 8.30pm.
The Alzheimer Café is a safe and relaxed place where people with dementia, their families, friends, health and social care professionals come together to talk, share information and support one another.

Anyone who is affected by dementia is welcome to come. It is a social evening with tea, coffee and scones being served.
Gerry Farrell is guest speaker on the night. It is free of charge and there is a car parking facility at the rear of the building.
