Investigating Gardaí are particularly appealing to people who used the road between Longford Slashers GAA club and Ballymacormack cemetery between 5.30pm and 6pm on Monday, April 21

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision at Mullaghvorneen, Co Longford, on Monday, April 21, 2025.

At approximately 6pm, Gardaí and emergency services were alerted following a collision between a car and a motorcycle on the L1127 road.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 20s, was airlifted from the scene with serious injuries to the Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore and later transferred to the Mater Hospital in Dublin.

A technical examination of the scene was conducted by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the L1127 between the Longford Slashers GAA club and Ballymacormack cemetery between 5.30pm and 6pm on April 21 are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
