The annual Clonfin Commemoration takes place on Sunday, February 2.
The commemoration celebration begins with Mass for all deceased members and their families at 11.30am in St Mary's Church, Granard.
This will be followed by the ceremony at the site in Clonfin at 3pm.

This year's speaker is retired Brigadier General Gerald Aherne from Cork and organisers are looking forward to his address.

Longford Pipe Band will be in attendance along with members of the defence forces and the O.N.E. who will provide the guard of honour which will be followed by the laying of the wreath at the Monument and The Roll of Honour and a short prayer service.

The organising committee are looking forward to a big turnout on Sunday, February 2 as it is very important that this event in local and indeed national history is commemorated every year. The committee are also appealing for younger members to get involved.
