A Longford property developer has lodged plans with the local authority with a view to building 16 new houses in Killashee.
Eugene O’Reilly, one of the main architects behind the creation of Longford town’s bustling N4 Axis Centre, wants to follow through on the plans after they were originally lodged back in 2008.

Planning appeals body An Bord Pleanala gave the go-ahead for the development in October of that year.
Now, Mr O’Reilly has re-submitted the plans to Longford County Council.
They include provisions for nine two story terraced type dwellings, a pair of two storey semi detached houses, two single storey semi-detached and three single storey terraced type units.
A decision on the planning application is not expected until early next year.
