David Tanner, Ards, Kenagh, Longford


The death occurred,  peacefully in the loving care of the nurses and staff of Thomond Lodge Nursing Home, on Friday, December 23, 2022 of David Tanner, Ards, Kenagh, Longford. Predeceased by his parents James and Annie, brother Frank and by his sister Eleanor. David will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, sister Louie, brother-in-law Norman Judge, nephew David, relatives, neighbours and friends. At rest.
Resting at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road on Tuesday, December 27 from 6pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Funeral Service on Wednesday, December 28 at 2pm in St George’s Church, Kenagh, interment afterwards in the adjoining churchyard. Family flowers only please.
The Funeral Service will be streamed live and a link will be posted on Tuesday. 'Safe in the arms of Jesus'. 

Michael Molloy, Barragh More, Drumlish, Longford


The death occurred, suddenly in Mullingar Regional Hospital after a stay in the loving care of the staff of the Sunset Lodge, St Joseph's, Longford, on Thursday, December 22, 2022 of Michael Molloy, Barragh More, Drumlish, Longford. Predeceased by his parents James and Maggie Rose, sister Anna Rita (McDermott) and brother John Mel, Deeply regretted by his sisters Margaret (McKenna) and Bridie (Davis), brothers-in-law John McDermott, Dessie Davis and the late John Patsy McKenna, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.
Michael will repose in Glennon's Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road, Longford this Friday evening, December 23 from 6pm concluding with prayers at 7.30pm. Removal on Saturday morning, December 24 from Glennon's Funeral Home to St Mary's Church, Drumlish, for 11am funeral Mass. The funeral Mass can be streamed live by clicking on the following link. Burial afterwards in local cemetery. 

Helen Gouldsbury (née Gill), Moigh, Ballymahon, Longford


The death occurred, peacefully surrounded by her family at the Midland’s Regional Hospital, Mullingar, on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 of Helen Gouldsbury (née Gill), Moigh, Ballymahon, Longford. Predeceased by her parents, her brother Johnny and by her sister Kathleen. Helen will be greatly missed and remembered with love by her family, husband Oliver, daughters Patricia Ganly (Galway), Michelle Hall, son Gary, sons-in-law Ken and Sean, daughter-in-law Gillian, brothers, sisters, grandchildren Sarah, James, Oisin, Lucy, Ronan, Darragh and Nessa, nieces, nephew, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends. May she rest in peace.
Reposing at the family home at Moigh, Ballymahon ( N39 C3N8) on Friday, December 23 from 4pm until 7pm. House is private to close friends and family outside of these times. Mass of the Resurrection on Saturday, December 24 at 11am in St.Matthew’s Church, Ballymahon, interment afterwards in Shrule Cemetery.

The death occurred, peacefully in her home surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 of Christine Fitzgerald, Castlebrock, Ballinalee, Co Longford and formerly of Carbery, Co Kildare. She is predeceased by her son Michael, daughter Shirley, parents Tom and Ann, brothers Jim, Kit and Thomas, sisters Mary-Ann and Peig. Christine will be forever missed by her loving family, husband Michael, son Eamon, daughter Jennifer, sons-in-law Christopher and Tim, her beloved granddaughter Jessica, brother John, brothers-in-law Cyril, Brendan, Eddie and John, sister-in-law Eilish (Crewe, England), nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends. Always in our thoughts, forever in our hearts. Rest in Peace.
Reposing in Connell's Funeral Home, Church Street, Longford, on Friday, December 23 from 6pm concluding with prayers at 7.30pm. Funeral cortege will arrive at St James's Church, Clonbroney, on Saturday, December 24 for funeral mass at 1pm, followed with burial in the adjoining cemetery. The death occurred, peacefully in the loving care of the staff of Arus Carolan Nursing Home, Mohill, on Friday, December 23, 2022 of Michael (Mehal) Cumiskey, Green Road, Mohill, Leitrim. Predeceased by his beloved wife; Susan, brothers; Fr. P.J. (New Zealand) and John, (Ballinamore) sister; Maura Faughnan (Annaduff). Mehal will be sadly missed by his devoted daughter; Catherine , his son in law; Sean and grandchildren; Liam , Conor and Donnacha , his sister; Teasie Reynolds (Dublin), his brother; Fr. Cathal CSSR (Dundalk), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, former colleagues at An Post, neighbours and his many friends. Go ndeanfaidh Dia trocaire ar a ainm dilis”.
Mehal will repose at Smith’s Funeral Home Ballinamore on Monday, December 26 from 4pm to 6pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, December 27 at 12 noon in St Patrick’s Church, Mohill followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. The death occurred, at Breffni Care Centre, Ballyconnell, Co Cavan, on Friday, December 23, 2022 of Tommy Reynolds, Aghadruminshin, Aughavas, Carrigallen, Co Leitrim. Predeceased by his parents; James and Roseann Reynolds and his brothers; Johnny and Jim. May Tommy Rest in Peace.

The death occurred, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and in the care of the excellent staff of Our Lady’s Hospital, Navan, on Thursday, December 22, 2022 of Anthony (Tony) Morris, Aylesbury Lodge, Navan, Meath and formerly of Lough Gowna, Co Cavan and The Ferdia Arms, Ardee, Co Louth. Predeceased by his infant son David Anthony, father James, mother Bridget, brother Peadar and sisters Mary and Ann. Tony will be very sadly missed by his loving wife Katherine, son Michael, daughters Noelle and Angie, grandchildren Brianna, Jake, Layla, Danny and Abbie, daughter-in-law Nora and son-in-law Marcus, Derek, brothers Fr Michael (Ferbane, Co Offaly), Brian and Gerry (New York), sisters Betty (Boston), Breege (New York), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and a large circle of friends. The death occurred, peacefully, in the wonderful care of the staff of College View Nursing Home, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 of Colm Gormley, Gartylough, Arva, Cavan. 
Loving husband of Marjorie and dear father of Alice (Jim), Michael (Melinda), Kevin (Elin), Mairead and Joan (Raymond). Sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughters, brother Fr Kevin (Missouri), sister Chris Hourican (Fostra), sons in law, daughters in law, his adored grandchildren Alan, Ealanor, Conor, Stephen, Aoibheann, Niamh, Darragh, Eoin, Aoife, Áine and Aisling, great-grandchildren, Jasper, Freya, Maeve and Patrick, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. May He Rest In Peace.
Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan on St Stephen's day, December 26 from 4pm until 6.30pm. Removal from Lakelands Funeral Home on Tuesday morning, December 27 at 10.30am to the Sacred Heart Church, Arva to arrive for Requiem Mass at 11am, interment afterwards in Coronea, cemetery. May He Rest In Peace.
